The feud between Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair was one of the longest running feuds for WrestleMania 38. It received a booking of nearly 8 months. Naturally such a long running feud had to meet a good storyline, right? Let us discuss about the good and the bad sides of the mentioned feud.
The feud started at the SummerSlam pay per view event of 2021 where Bianca Belair was supposed to defend her SmackDown women’s Championship against Sasha Banks in a rematch from WrestleMania 37. But Sasha could not compete due to an injury. She was replaced by the returning WWE star Becky Lynch. Becky defeated Bianca in only 26 seconds time to win the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Becky Lynch – Bianca Belair Feud Review
The feud did not end here but it was just the beginning. It continued in the very next pay per view event which was Extreme Rules where Becky defended The Smackdown Women’s Championship against Bianca and it went to a no contest. On the next pay per view event which was Crown Jewel Becky defended the title in a triple threat match where Bianca was involved too.
After that WWE organized the draft lottery where both of these wrestlers got drafted to Monday Night RAW and surprisingly they continued their feud on RAW as well. The feud between the duo never stopped and ultimately it headed towards the grandest stage of them all which is WrestleMania 38.

This is an example of terrible booking decision of WWE. If they needed to continue the feud till WrestleMania 38, what was the point of drafting them to Monday Night RAW? The whole point of organising the draft is to get some fresh and new feuds. If we have to see the same feuds even after the draft, what is the point of organising the draft?
Now let us talk about the build up of the storyline. Well, apparently there was no story. It was just a contest of superiority where both claimed themselves to be the better wrestler. And that is the whole point of the feud which continued for nearly 8 months. So storyline wise it was really weak. Since it was an 8 month long feud, fans would definitely expect both wrestlers to go personal. But no such thing happened.

But there was a good side of this feud as well. The way they built up both wrestlers for WrestleMania 38 was really good. Becky Lynch remained undefeated before walking into WrestleMania Since her return and Bianca Belair had also been portrayed as a very strong babyface. The feud might have been weak, but the wrestlers had a good built.
Apart from that, the duo had secondary feuds during the time when they were already involved in the main feud. Both of them kept on winning their respective secondary feuds. It really gave a good direction to the final contest. But one of the worst parts about this feud was, throughout the whole setup it was totally predictable and it could not offer anything new. Overall, the whole buildup of this feud was bad but it definitely offered some good matches.
