This week’s RAW started as the whole feud between Bobby Lashley and Omos had been shown at a glance. How Lashley defeated Omos at WrestleMania 38, how MVP betrayed Lashley after that, and how Omos defeated Lashley at WrestleMania Backlash.
Match 1 – Steel Cage Match – Bobby Lashley defeated Omos

WWE RAW 16.05.2022 Results & Ratings
This was a great way to start the night. So far this feud has been quite entertaining. Here is another addition to that. Omos dominated the most part of the match. At the end of it, Omos tried to hit Lashley on his head through the cage wall and the cage broke as Lashley made his exit towards victory.
Match 2 – Veer Mahaan defeated Mustafa Ali
Mustafa Ali was scheduled to face Theory at first. But Theory made a number of changes in this match. At first he brought The Miz as the special guest referee, and then replaced himself with Veer Mahaan. The match was not a squash from Veer, in stead, Miz and Theory kept on assisting him. At the end he defeated Mustafa Ali with the Cervical Clutch.
After the match, Miz, Theory and Veer kept on humiliating Ali. As Veer was preparing to put Ali through the announce table. The Mysterios made their return to seek revenge on Veer. This feud will continue and it is good to see Veer finally getting some consistent feud. He seriously needs to win this feud in order to continue his domination.
Match 3 – Riddle defeated Jimmy Uso

This was the last cameo before their Tag Team Championship unification match that will take place on this week’s Friday Night Smackdown. About this match it was book for nearly 8 minutes and it was one of the better matches of the night. Riddle pinned Jimmy with a roll up.
Backstage AJ Styles and Finn Balor made a proposal for Liv Morgan. They asked her to form a team with them as long as there was Judgement Day since it was not safe for any of them. Liv said that she would think about it.
Match 4 – AJ Styles and Finn Balor defeated The Los Lotharios
This match was booked for 6 minutes and it was a great way to show the Tag Team chemistry between AJ and Finn. Before and after the match, they kept on posing in the Bullet Club style. After Finn pinned Humberto with Coup De Grace for the win, Liv Morgan posed with them too, as if they are forming a stable. If they seriously form a stable that would be an amazing thing.
Match 5 – Alexa Bliss defeated Sonya Deville

So Alexa defeated Sonya two weeks in a row. But thankfully it was not a squash this week. Sonya had been arguably the best Heal in the women’s division of WWE for the last year. We believe WWE should book her in some consistent storylines. Alexa pinned her with a DDT.
Cody Rhodes came out to the arena for the first promo of the night. He talked about his rivalry with Seth rollins so far. He reminded how he defeated him last two times they faced each other. Ultimately he challenged Seth in a Hell in a Cell match. Seth Rollins appeared on the big screen and accepted the challenge.
Match 6 – Ezekiel defeated Chad Gable
This match was booked for around 8 minutes and it was a fun match. Kevin Owens was in the commentary table who was really entertaining throughout the commentary works. At the end, Ezekiel pinned Chad Gable with a roll up.
Backstage segment with the 24/7 Championship. This is just the same old thing with the same group of people. A new star entered the race and that is the former SmackDown Women’s champion Carmella. It is still not interesting though.

Lacey Evans came out to the arena. She cut a short promo on asking the people to show respect to marines out there. Apparently it looks like she just changed brand for no reason. Already the SmackDown women’s division is more than empty. And now they are switching whatever they had to Monday Night RAW. Lacey was rumoured to turn heel but from her promo it did not seem like she is going to be a heel which would have been meaningless.
Match 7 – No. 1 contender’s match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship – Asuka defeated Becky Lynch
This match was scheduled to be a six women tag team match at first. But it had been reported on wwe.com that Sasha Banks and Naomi handed over the Tag Team championships to John Laurinatis. They have claimed that they are not comfortable with the wrestlers they were supposed to work with tonight. And this is not kayfabe. Is it the end of Sasha Banks and Naomi in WWE?
About this match, it was nearly 7 minutes long. Bianca Belair was outside of the Ring throughout the match. As she distracted the referee once, Asuka spit the Green Myst on Becky’s face and pinned her. Asuka celebrated as this week’s RAW went of air.
Overall, it was a good show. After a long time they focused on matches more than promos in an episode of Monday Night RAW. But with no World Championship segment, it almost means nothing. How long would they continue like this? They do not want to stop the brand split and their marging the Championship on the other hand too. This just seems meaningless. We give it 2 stars out of 5.
