This week’s RAW started as WWE RAW Women’s champion Bianca Belair came out to the arena. She broke a terrible news that Rhea Ripley who was scheduled to face her for the title at Money in the Bank would not be medically cleared to compete. So a fatal 5 way match had been booked to determine the number 1 contender.
All five women who were schedule to compete in the fatal 5 way match came out one by one and everyone cut a short promo. Asuka’s promo was really cringe. Others sounded fine. Once the argument started to get hotter, Bianca tried to stop them and asked for some action.

WWE RAW 20.06.2022 Results & Ratings
Match 1 – Fatal 5 Way match for the No. 1 Contender’s Match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship – Carmella defeated Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch and Asuka
This match was booked for nearly 10 minutes and it was a little shocking to see Carmella getting a title opportunity in a pay per view event. But it was quite obvious, they did not want to mess with their Women’s Money in the bank Ladder match so they did not cut any of the qualified wrestlers for the mentioned match. Carmella vs. Bianca would be a predictable match.
Vince McMahon came out to the arena and made the announcement that John Cena is coming back to Monday Night RAW next week. And he came out to the arena just to make this announcement. It was already declared, right? Why is Mr McMahon coming out in every show? Maybe he is too concerned about the lawsuit.
Riddle came out to the arena. He talked about his match against Roman Reigns for the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship which took place last week on Friday Night SmackDown. At the end he addressed Seth Rollins. Maybe that was a sign of the beginning of a new feud.
Match 2 – Money in the Bank qualifying match – Omos defeated Riddle

This match was booked for 4 minutes and as usual, it was dominated by Omos. Riddle had his own offences but they were not enough to get Omos off of his feet. At the end, Omos pinned Riddle with the Two Handed Chokeslam. It would be interesting to see Omos competing in Money in the Bank ladder match.
After the match, Seth Rollins came out to the arena and took Riddle out of the Ring. He mocked him for losing to Roman Reigns last week on Friday Night Smackdown and also said that if anyone could beat Roman Reigns that would be him. Riddle tried to attack him but Rollins nailed him with the Stomp.
WWE United States champion Theory came out to the arena. He first talked about the return of John Cena and said that Cena’s time is up and his time is now. Then he started posing down, and during it he was attacked by Bobby Lashley. Lashley made his mind clear that he was coming for the WWE United States Championship.
Match 3 – Angelo Dawkins defeated Jey Uso
It was the 4 minute long match and it might have been short but it was a fun match. Angelo Dawkins pinned Jey with a Spine Buster. This might have been the beginning of a feud for the WWE Tag Team championships.
Next of was the much awaited concert of Elias sitting inside the ring in his usual manner. Quite clearly he had a fake beard. Kevin Owens came out to question him. A pre recorded footage was seen on the big screen where Ezekiel was seen. At the end of the segment, Elias ended up beating down Kevin Owens. Backstage Owens challenged either of the two in a match next week and he still declined to believe they were two different persons.

Match 4 – United States Contender’s Gauntlet match – Bobby Lashley defeated Chad Gable, Otis and Austin Theory
It was one hell of a long segment where every match of the gauntlet went on for quite a time. Chad Gable started things of with Bobby Lashley, after Gable lost, Otis enter the ring and completely manhandled Lashley but got disqualified at the end. Theory entered himself as the last challenger but Lashley pinned him with a roll up.
The Miz TV was the next segment of the night with AJ Styles being the special guest. As usual, Miz started things off with insulting AJ. AJ returned the favour with insulting Miz back. At the end, the segment turned violent as AJ attacked Miz. Tommaso Ciampa attacked AJ from behind. Maybe Ciampa would start working as a sidekick of Miz.
Match 5 – AJ Styles defeated Tommaso Ciampa
This match was booked for 4 and a half minutes and here it was, the much needed victory for AJ Styles is finally here who pinned Ciampa with the Phenomenal Forearm. After the match, Miz tried to attack Styles but got beaten down himself.

Match 6 – Money in the Bank Qualifying Match – Asuka defeated Becky Lynch
This was a cool main event where both performers really performed well. The match was booked for around 9 minutes and Asuka pinned Becky clean with a Spin Kick. It would be interesting to see where Becky goes from here. Asuka celebrated as this week’s RAW went off air.
Overall it seemed more like a routine episode of Monday Night RAW where nothing special happened, just the routine segments. Once again, the biggest downfall of the show was no World Championship segment. Matches were pretty average, ongoing storylines could not be made much impressive either. We give it 1.5 stars out of 5.
