South Africa great AB de Villiers has reacted to Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja’s performance in the ongoing Test between India and England at Edgbaston.
One of the highlights of the ongoing Test between India and England is the stunning partnership between Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja during the first innings. Both the batsmen scored outstanding centuries to bail India out of trouble.
Asked to bat first, India were in deep trouble when Pant and Jadeja joined hands in the middle. And it did not take them long to completely change the scenario in favour of India. Both of them mixed caution with aggression to not only bail India out of trouble but also put them in a commanding position.

A 200-plus position was looking like a distant dream for India when Jadeja joined Pant in the middle. However, the visitors went on to post a big total of 416 thanks to Pant and Jadeja. They added 222 runs for the sixth wicket.
Joe Root broke the stand when he dismissed the dangerous Pant. The southpaw departed after scoring 146 runs off just 111 balls. After Pant’s departure, Jadeja took charge of the innings and he too completed his ton before being dismissed by James Anderson for104.
AB de Villiers on Pant-Jadeja show:
Jadeja and Pant have received praise from all quarters for their respective knock and AB de Villiers have now lavished praise on them too. The former South Africa skipper took to Twitter to tell that the partnership between Jadeja and Pant was one of the best he has seen in Tests.

Praising the India duo, de Villiers tweeted: “Haven’t been home and missed most of the Cricket action. Finished watching the highlights now. That counterattack partnership from @RishabhPant17 and @imjadeja is right up there with the best I’ve ever seen in Test Cricket!”
