Manchester City’s new signing Erling Haaland was officially unveiled by the club recently. The City fans flocked to his presentation ceremony, which the club had transformed into a full-fledged event.
Haaland completed his move to City from Dortmund last month for a fee of £51 million. The star striker was chased by every elite club across Europe but chose Pep Guardiola’s side.

The Norwegian will be donning the ‘number-9’ shirt at City and is ready to join Pep’s team in their pre-season. Meanwhile, at the presentation, Haaland was asked about the team he is looking forward to playing against the most. His answer came as no surprise.
Erling Haaland takes a shot at Manchester United:
Haaland chose the Manchester Derby as the fixture he is gearing up to play next season. The striker said, “I don’t want to say the words, but… Manchester United.”
Clearly, Haaland is already settling in City’s blue colours. The 21-year-old will have to wait just until October to face the Red Devils at home in the Premier League. City will then travel to Old Trafford in January next year.

Haaland was further questioned about his new stint which is due to begin in England. “I’m looking forward to it, I’m sure we are going to have a good time together.
“The expectations for this season is to come into the team, to get to know everyone and to make connections. And to have fun – when I have fun I score goals”. Erling is expected to take forward his father, Alf Inge Haaland’s legacy at City.
While Alf Inge Haaland too had some memorable as well as forgettable moments against United, it now remains to be seen how his son fares against the city rivals.
However, after a staggering record of 85 goals in 88 games for Dortmund, same will be expected from the striker in City colours.
Guardiola will want his newly recruited striker to fire all cylinders as well. Moreover, after he had to make do the last season without an out-and-out number-9, Pep will have nothing less this season to finally get his hands on the Champions League trophy with City.
