Manchester United’s Luke Shaw seems to be enjoying life under new manager Erik ten Hag. The left-back has had some astute praise for Ten Hag since the former Ajax man has taken over United.
Ten Hag has been rested with the responsibility of getting United back to playing solid football, and win their first trophy since 2017. The Dutchman has rolled up his sleeves and is wasting no time in putting the team through vigorous drills.
United relieved Ralf Rangnick from his consultancy role even before the interim manager took over it. His 6-month torrid period at the team’s helm couldn’t reap the rewards United were looking for.

Neither did Ole Gunnar Solskjaer help with his 3 year stint in taking United back to their ‘Ferguson Days’. However, Shaw believes that Ten Hag is the man who can bring back glory to United. But the 28-year-old also had a go at his former bosses while singing the songs of Ten Hag’s praises.
Shaw pin-points Erik ten Hag’s qualities that went missing from United
Manchester United are currently training in Thailand for their preseason tour in the country. United face Liverpool in their opener as Shaw was talking to the media ahead of the game.
Speaking about Ten Hag’s effect Shaw said, “It’s clear that he’s a top, top manager. He has a structure to play the way he wants us to play. We haven’t had that for quite a while, and it was clear to see last season, which was extremely disappointing.”
Clearly, the left-back has confessed that the culture introduced by Erik ten Hag was missing from the previous managers’ tenure. Shaw further continued with a reassuring message to the fans over the next season.

“We have to bounce back [from last season] and he has been working us extremely hard, but I think we need it. We’re really looking forward to this season because I know it’s going to be much better than the last one.”
Meanwhile, in his first game in charge Ten Hag will be without some of the big stars from the team in Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire.
While Ronaldo is looking for an exit and hence abstained himself from participating in the preseason, the center-back duo has sustained a minor knock and will not be playing a part in the first friendly.
