Zinchenko

Arsenal’s summer transfer business is going on in full swing as the Gunners are inching closer towards another signing in Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Gunners have already signed as many as four players already in Gabriel Jesus, Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos.

However, Mikel Arteta wants more reinforcements as he looks to add solid depth to his squad. The manager was hugely disappointed by missing out on Champions League qualification last season despite being in a pole position to finish fourth.

Arsenal making quick moves for Oleksandr Zinchenko’s signing

Arsenal wee chasing Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez who has a versatility of playing both as a center-back as well as left-back.

However, Manchester United snatched the Argentine leaving Arsenal to look for other options. The Gunners quickly identified Oleksandr Zinchenko as their man after he expressed his wish to leave City to the club’s management.

Zinchenko too like Martinez comes with powerful versatility since he can be deployed as a left-back as well as an attacking midfielder.

Arteta has unhesitatingly green light his transfer and Arsenal have reportedly agreed a fee already with City.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that both the clubs are once again working on a transfer after first facilitating Jesus’ move.

The transfer guru further added that the North Londoners are now discussing personal terms with Oleksandr Zinchenko to get the deal done as soon as possible.

Romano through a tweet said, “Arsenal and Manchester City have now reached verbal agreement in principle for Oleksandr Zinchenko, fee around £30m.

“Personal terms are still discussed. Salary and length of contract, in negotiation – key step to complete the agreement.”

Zinchenko wants regular game-time and has decided to leave City after the Premier League champions are looking to sign Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella.

City will now send an official bid to Brighton for Cucurella once Zinchenko’s move to Arsenal is completed. Cucurella too could become City’s fifth signing after Erling Haaland, Kalvin Philipps, Julian Alvarez and Stefan Ortega.
