Raphinha could not have asked for a better debut for Barcelona as he made a huge impact in his first-ever game for the Spanish giants. The Brazil international assisted one and scored one, helping Barcelona thrash Inter Miami 6-0 in the pre-season friendly in Miami.

Apart from Raphinha, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ansu Fati, Gavi, Memphis Depay and Ousmane Dembele grabbed a goal each. It was a much-needed win for Xavi’s men who have struggled with their form in recent months.

Prior to the game against Inter Miami, Barcelona had managed to win only 1 of their previous 4 games. They thoroughly dominated the proceedings against Inter Miami and were clearly the superior side.

While David Beckham’s side could not hit even one shot on target, Barcelona hit 8 of their 23 shots on target. Aubameyang opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Raphinha and Fati tripled their team’s lead before the break.

After the break, Gavi re-opened the scoring in the 55th minute before Depay and Dembele scored in successive minutes to make it 6-0 in the 70th minute.

Raphinha dazzles on debut:

All eyes were on Raphinha as he made his Barcelona debut after his dramatic transfer to the La Liga giants last week. Raphinha was linked with several big clubs liked Arsenal and Chelsea but had his heart set at Barcelona.

As per media reports, Chelsea had already struck a deal with Leeds but Raphinha was not ready to leave Leeds for any other club other than Barcelona. And his performance on debut must have delighted the Barcelona fans even more.

In the 19th minute, he gave a glimpse of the link-up play that could terrorise defenders in the upcoming season. The Brazilian winger exchanged passes with Pedri on the edge of the box before passing it to Aubameyang who came up with a cool finishing. Six minutes later, Raphinha was on the scoresheet thanks to a stunning volley
