Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has distanced the club from the rumours stating that they are plotting a move for PSG’s Neymar.
The Brazilian is reportedly put on sale by PSG after growing frustrated of his antics at the club. Further on, the Parisians need to lower their wage bill after extending Kylian Mbappe on a mammoth package.
Neymar has been with the French champions since 2017 after they splashed a whopping £200 million to sign him from Barcelona. However, his journey with the club hasn’t gone well as expected.

The winger has often found himself at odds with the club’s administration over various issues. Moreover, his recurring injuries and personal matters have limited him to just 92 Ligue 1 games of a possible 190.
Guardiola feels ‘Sorry’ for Neymar
Though PSG have not directly announced his sale, the club has conveyed that they are open to bids which match their evaluation for Neymar.
On the other hand, French outlet Le Parisien have reported that the Ligue 1 champions have offered City the chance to land Neymar this summer.
However, speaking in his latest presser Pep Guardiola has dismisses such reports, also stating that he feels sorry for them as well as the Brazilian.
Pep said, “I am so sorry for Le Parisien, but it is not true. I am sorry for them because the information they have received is false. Neymar is an incredible player and by my information, he is a nice guy. Let him express himself at Paris.
“Manchester City bought 150 players every summer, and it is not true. I am sorry for Neymar, of course.”

“We cannot put too much pressure on these players. We need to get them houses, apartments in Manchester, and in the sessions what we want them to do will increase.
“The first impressions of Julian, Kalvin, Erling, and Stefan were really good – they seem like good people. Having good vibes in the locker room is more important than tactics.”
While there have been four new faces at the club so far, City looking to bring in more with Marc Cucurella next on their radar. Neymar on the other hand is busy with PSG in their preseason.
