Arsenal are not yet done in this summer’s transfer window as they are still working on another signing. The Gunners however, have not disclosed their next target since missing out on a couple of deals due to stern competition.

Mikel Arteta has so far welcomed a massive five signings, one short of the number reached last summer. Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and Matt Turner are the new faces who have arrived this summer.

However, Arteta wants to add more signings after failing to secure a Champions League berth last season due to lack of ‘quality-filled’ depth.

But the manager has asked his club to take a more confidential approach this time while working on their next acquisition.

Leroy Sane, Jarrod Bowen, Cody Gakpo- The names linked with Arsenal

While Arsenal fend-off heavy competition from potential suitors for the signings of Jesus and Zinchenko, they still lost the race to land Leeds’ Raphinha and Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez.

The Gunners were pushing hard to secure the deals, but were beaten by Barcelona for Raphinha and Manchester United for Martinez.

Reports even confirmed that Chelsea tried to hijack their deal for Gabriel Jesus at the last-minute. As a result, Arsenal have kept their next target under the wraps.

However, the Express report that the next possible arrival at the Emirates could be anyone from PSV’s Cody Gakpo, West Ham United’s Jarrod Bowen or Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane.

Though the North Londoners are yet to approach any of the three, they have been constantly linked with them throughout the summer transfer window.

But transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has provided an insight on the work going on at Arsenal. The Italian journalist said, “For Arsenal, we will see if they go for another winger. I will try to let you know who is the player [they’ll target]. I have an indication but I can’t speak yet because I have to check & I want to make sure I’m mentioning the right name!”

As Romano claims and the names linked with Arsenal tell as well, the club is certainly looking to bring in another wide player.

While Gakpo and Bowen seem attainable, Sane definitely is a long shot for the Gunners. Both Gakpo and Bowen have emerged on the radars of Arsenal after heavily impressing for their respective clubs last season.

Gakpo, in his 47 games across all competitions scored 15 goals and amassed 21 assists, helping PSV clinch the KNVB Cup as well.

Bowen, on the other hand delivered his best numbers in club career so far scoring 17 goals and assisting 13 in 50 games for the Hammers. Given their market values, Gakpo and Bowen would cost Arsenal a fee in the range of £30-£40 million.
