Antonio Conte has taken his banter with Thomas Tuchel to the next step after the two clashed twice during weekend’s Premier League fixture between Tottenham and Chelsea. The Blues were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw at the Stamford Bridge after conceding the lead twice. Tuchel however, felt both of Spurs’ goals should have been disallowed given fouls were committed by them in the build-up.

The Chelsea boss took it to Conte on the sidelines who ecstatically celebrated his side’s equalizer in front of the Blues’ dugout. Tuchel and Conte exchanged heated shouts as the German was enraged over the Spurs boss mocking his staff while the celebration. Now, Conte has taken it to his social media to taunt Tuchel who ran to the corner flag to celebrate with his team Reece James’ 77th minute goal.

Making you trip over- Antonio Conte makes his feeling clear

In an end-to-end game, Chelsea were put ahead by summer signing Kalidou Koulibaly who scored a banger from a Marc Cucurella corner after being left unmarked in the box. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg equalized for Spurs in the 68th minute, drilling a low shot past Edouard Mendy. However, Rodrigo Bentancur had brought down Kai Havertz to win the ball back in order to start Spurs’ build up.

Both Havertz and Tuchel went complaining to the referee on the sidelines while Conte too budged on his Chelsea counterpart. Things went out of hand as Tuchel and Cote had to be separated by the players and the staffs of their respective sides. As the game resumed, it took Reece James just over ten minutes to restore Chelsea’s lead as he slotted one past Hugo Lloris after Raheem Sterling set him up.

Thomas Tuchel went berserk as he ran towards the corner flag with his hands punching the air past Antonio Conte to celebrate Chelsea’s lead. The Spurs manager talking about the same incident after the game posted a picture on his social media of Tuchel running past him with a caption “Lucky I didn’t see you…making you trip over would have been well deserved…[laughing emojis]”.

However, Antonio Conte had the last laugh as Tottenham spoiled Chelsea’s almost achieved win with an injury time equalizer from Harry Kane. But Chelsea once again felt betrayed by the referee who missed a hair-pull on Cucurella in the box by Christian Romero.

While some pushing and shoving during Tottenham’s corner in the injury time, Romero brought down Cucurella with a hair-pull which helped Kane to head the ball past Mendy in the Chelsea goal. A hapless Tuchel and Chelsea team watched referee Anthony Taylor give the goal with VAR too failing to read the potential foul.

Tuchel and Conte clashed for the one last time after the full-time whistle with the Chelsea boss pulling the Spurs manager during the hand-shake. The two hurled complaints against each other and once again took the intervention from their teams to separate. This time the clash ended with Taylor flashing red cards at both the managers for their contempt.
