Mexican American Professional wrestler and the current AEW World Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa who is a former NWA Women’s Champion recently talked about former WWE star Paige and said that she would be an amazing edition in the AEW roster.
Paige was one of the prime female wrestlers of her time in WWE and she is out of in ring action for over 4 years. It was really disappointing that we could not get such a prime wrestler in WWE since the women’s revolution. She had a small career in WWE and she did an amazing job in the short amount of time she had.
Thunder Rosa Wants To See Paige In AEW
Paige had been a two times WWE Divas champion but she could never be a regular after WWE came out with two different championships for both SmackDown and RAW. It was a huge missed opportunity. Paige could have been an amazing addition in the current women’s division and quite surely she would be treated as a main event star.
On late 2017, Paige got injured in a match against Sasha Banks during a house show. This injury killed her career forever. WWE had really high plans for her, a movie was also made on her life during the time and it was famously known as Fighting With My Family. The movie was a success but her career ended at the same time.
Fortunately she is now fit enough to return to action once again but unfortunately WWE does not want to bring her back. There are reports that the AEW is interested to bring her to their promotion. She could have been an excellent edition to any professional wrestling promotion. It is believed that she would be back in her indie ring name which was Britani Knight.
Thunder Rosa who is a former NWA Women’s Champion recently spoke to TV Insider where she talked about former WWE star Paige and said that she would be an amazing edition in the AEW roster. She said;
“She has so much experience. She has been wrestling since a young girl. I met her mother a few years ago at an independent show. She is a wrestler’s wrestler. She would bring something different to the women’s division as a wrestler or even if we needed a general manager. If she came to our door, I think everybody will benefit from it. If anyone comes to wrestle me. I’m open to any challenge. Whoever wants a piece of me, you know where to find me. If not, I’ll send you my number right now.
“Fans can expect a really cool match. We’ve never wrestled with each other before. This is going to be very vibrant and different. We are the only women’s match on the card. We are going to show up and show out.”
