This week’s RAW started as Seth Rollins and Riddle were seen fighting backstage and the officials were trying to stop them. The fight continued inside the arena and it turned out to be a massive fight. These booking decisions are getting a little repetitive. Similar things were already booked a number of times before.
Trish Stratus came out to the arena. She expressed her happiness about her turn. Before she could talk any further, she was interrupted by team Bayley who entered the ring and started disrespecting Trish. Bianca came out to her defense and as Bayley threatened a three on two assault, Alexa Bliss and Asuka joined the frame as Bayley and her team avoided the fight.

Match 1 – Semi Final for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Match – Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky defeated Asuka and Alexa Bliss
This match was booked for over 8 minutes and it was a good match. The ending of the match was booked in a very smart way. Asuka locked Dakota Kai in the Asuka Lock and Kai tapped out, but Kai was not the legal woman and Asuka was not aware of it. She started celebrating and Iyo Sky pinned her with a roll up.
Match 2 – Finn Balor defeated Dolph Ziggler
It was an excellent match. It was booked for 10 minutes and it was a pay per view standard match indeed. One thing that Triple H has changed is the quality of the matches on weekly shows. There were near falls that made the match even more exciting. Finn Balor seriously needed this win who pinned Zigglet with the Coup De Grace.
Match 3 – Kevin Owens defeated Chad Gable
Another amazing match! It was really very soothing for the eyes. We almost forgot what Chad Gable is capable of. Finally he reminded us what we were losing on till now. They cashed the home crowd of Owens through him excellently as well. The eight minute long match was really excellent. Kevin Owens pinned Chad Gable with the Powerbomb.
The Toxic Attraction qualified for the women’s Tag Team Championship semi final last week on Friday Night Smackdown. But unfortunately they had to be cut out of the tournament because of an unwanted injury. All the losing teams will collide in a fatal 4 way last chance match this week on SmackDown. The winner team will advance to the semi final.
Match 4 – Bayley defeated Aliyah
This match was booked for six and a half minutes and it was a good match. This was Bayley’s first match in over 15 months. Aliyah was quite impressive in this match as well. But of course Bayley had to win it. Bayley pinned Aliyah with a Face First.
Match 5 – The Miz and Ciampa defeated Bobby Lashley and AJ Styles by DQ
A lot of things happened in this 10 minute long match. In spite of not having a clean finish, this match was one of the most entertaining parts of this week’s RAW. During the match AJ Styles was outside of the Ring and close to the audience barricade.
A hooded man tried to attack Styles from the crowd, everybody thought it was going to be Dexter Lumis, but surprisingly it was someone else. Another hooded man then choked and kidnapped Miz which was revealed to be Dexter Lumis. After the match Bobby Lashley and Styles beat down Ciampa.
Johny Gargano made a surprise return to WWE. But this special moment was completely ruined. When he was making his entrance, we did not get to hear a single word from the commentary team. WWE should take action against whoever is responsible for this huge error. It totally ruined the special moment.
Johnny Gargano reminded everyone who he is and all of his achievements from the NXT. The fans were totally going crazy. Theory interrupted him and here it was, one of the most awaited segments in WWE today. These two were a team back in the NXT where Theory was the sise kick of Gargano. As obvious, Theory acted like an arrogant man. At the end, Gargano hit a Superkick on Theory’s face. Clearly these two will start a feud.
Match 6 – Edge defeated Damian Priest
Another pay per view standard match and it was perhaps the best match of the night. It was booked for 20 minutes, yes you heard it right, a 20 minute match on the free television. And what an amazing match it was! There were a lot of things to talk about this match. Let us go through them in a glance.
Edge went through a table, Priest hit a Killswitch which was the finisher of Christian, Edge hit a Canadian Destroyer just before pinning Priest with a Spear.
After the match, The Judgment Day attacked Edge and started beating him down. But Beth Phoenix who was present in the crowd came out to save her husband. Beth Phoenix stood beside her husband and Judgment Day slowly exit the ring with we hear Rhea Ripley laughing at the end as this week’s RAW went off air.
Overall it was an excellent week of Monday Night RAW. A lot of things happened, we saw returns, dream segments, amazing matches, this is exactly how everyone wants a wrestling show to be. We give this week’s RAW 3 stars out of 5, we seriously wanted to give it more ratings, but the only thing lacked was a World Championship segment and it was a big miss.
