Chelsea will be facing Leicester City in their next Premier League game, as they continue to poach the Foxes’ Wesley Fofana. As a result, Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers has once again decided to leave the center-back at home ahead of their trip to West London.
The Blues have been trying to replenish their defense since Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen’s departure. While Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly was snapped up, Chelsea now want Leicester’s Fofana. Koulibaly received a red in their last game against Leeds United as a result of which manager Thomas Tuchel requested the club to complete a deal for Fofana before this Leicester game.
However, the Foxes have been firm on their decision of not letting the 21-year-old leave, rejecting two bids of worth £70m and £80m from Chelsea. Rodgers will have to make do without the youngster at Stamford Bridge as he looks for his first win of the season with the club. He will however have some inspiration against Tuchel’s side as they too are on the back of a 3-0 thrashing at the hands of Leeds from their last outing.
