This week’s RAW started as formal two times WWE World champion AJ Styles came out to the arena for the first match of the night followed by his Tag Team partner Dolph Ziggler. Their opponent were the Judgment Day. Footage from last week was shown where Damian Priest took on Edge.
Match 1 – The Judgment Day defeated Dolph Ziggler

WWE RAW 29.08.2022 Results & Ratings
This match was booked for five minutes and it was a good way to start the night. Judgment Day won and they had to win it. They can be destructive team if booked well. Damian Priest pinned Dolph Ziggler after hitting a Sit Out Chokeslam.
After the match, as The Judgment Day was leaving the stage, Edge was seen entering the arena. The stable went back to the ring and provoked Edge to face them. Edge made his entrance and cut a promo answering them. The Mysterios attacked Judgment Day with Kendo Sticks. Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley had a long faceoff as Finn and Damian pulled Rhea out to avoid the fight.
Match 2 – Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss, and Asuka defeated Local Athletes
This match was more of a promotion for the six woman tag team match that is scheduled for Clash at the Castle. In this 2 minute long match, the baby face side dominated and destroyed 3 local athletes. WWE RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair played the most part and then Asuka pinned one of them with the Asuka Lock.
WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle came out to the arena. Kurt looked really old to be honest. Before he could start a promo, the Alpha Academy interrupted him. They offered Kurt Angle an opportunity to join their stable. As Kurt refused it, Academy almost attacked him but Street Profits came out to save him.
Match 3 – The Street Profits defeated The Alpha Academy
This match was booked for 12 minutes and it really did not have to be booked for so long. It was a good match but it did not need such a long time booking. Kurt Angle was outside of the Ring in the corner of the Street Profits. Montez Ford pinned Chad Gable with the Frog Splash.

Riddle and Seth Rollins featured in a long c2c promo which was quite good. It was a good promotion for their scheduled match at Clash at the Castle. We hope we are going to see a great match between the duo at the event.
Match 4 – WWE United States Championship – Bobby Lashley defeated The Miz to retain
This match was booked for seven and a half minutes and it was quite an entertaining match. Miz cheated throughout the match but somehow survived everything. At the end, Dexter Lumis was seen standing among the crowd which distracted Miz and Lashley capitalised with the Hurt Lock.
An excellent backstage segment was next between Edge and Kurt Angle which was inspired from their famous 2002 segment of “Yes I do s*ck.” It was probably the best moment of the night.
The Usos and Sami Zayn came out to the arena. They talked about the upcoming 2 year title reign celebration of Roman Reigns this week on Friday Night Smackdown. Kevin Owens interrupted them. They exchanged a lot of words, firstly, Owens reminded Sami Zayn that he was one of the best performers of wrestling and they were the best of friends.
Next reminded his feud with Roman Reigns that took place around 18 months ago. He reminded everyone how he almost had Roman Reigns beaten, but it was because of Jey Uso and Paul Heyman. The segment resulted in a match between Kevin Owens and Jey Uso.
Match 5 – Kevin Owens defeated Jey Uso

As soon as this match got booked we expected an instant classic. Indeed it was a good match but not as much as it was expected. But it started a new storyline when Sami could not hit Kevin with the Steel chair and Kevin pinned Jey Uso with a Stunner. We seriously hope to see Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as the next WWE Undisputed Tag Team champions.
A pre recorded footage was shown where an interaction between Johnny Gargano and Theory was shown. The duo can have an excellent feud if booked well. We have faith in Triple H we know he can get the best out of them.
Match 6 – WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship final – Raquel Rodriguez and Aliyah defeated Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky to become new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion
It was by far the most shocking moment of the night. You are not sure if anyone expected this outcome. Aliyah and Rodriguez were never been the favorites to win the titles. But is it a good decision? They definitely have something planned so we are not going to criticize this decision as of now. The new women’s Tag Team Champions celebrated with Bianca Belair, Asuka and Alexa Bliss as this week’s RAW went off air.

Overall it was a good week of Monday Night RAW. Finally, it looks like something is happening every week, and there are things to look forward to next week as well. But it was not as good as the previous week.
The return of Kurt Angle was really fun, especially he is segment with Edge. New Women’s Tag Team Champions are finally crowned and it was shocking. The new angle between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn is also quite interesting. The only thing missing was a World championship segment. We give this week’s RAW 2.5 stars out of 5.
