This week’s RAW started as the Rated R Superstar Edge came out to the arena. He talked about his Tag Team match from Clash at the Castle where he teamed up with Rey Mysterio to beat The Judgment Day. But after the match, Dominik Mysterio betrayed them and beat down both his father and Edge.
Edge called out Dominik so that he could beat his a**. Rey Mysterio came out instead and he apologized on behalf of his son but Edge was not ready to listen to anything. Rhea Ripley came out and presented Dominik in Judgment Day outfit. Rey did not want to be any part of it so he left. Finn Balor and Damian Priest attacked Edge and beat him down. As Rey tried to stop them Rhea attacked him.

Match 2 – No. 1 Contender’s Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship – The New Day vs. The Alpha Academy vs. Los Lotharios vs. The Street Profits went to a no contest due to outside interference.
This was an interesting match but the outside interference was even more interesting. After around 7 minutes of the match, Braun Strowman made his return. It was already rumoured that he was going to make his return this week on RAW. He beat down everyone that were involved in this match. But why did he beat down these tag teams? There is no answer to that yet.
Match 3 – Aliyah and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Doudrop and Nikki ASH
This was a non title match that was booked for around 7 minutes and this much was more of a promotion for the new WWE Women’s Tag Team champions. It was not a bad match. Raquel Rodriguez pinned Doudrop to earn the victory for her side.
Austin Theory came out to the arena. He talked about his unsuccessful cash in at Clash at the Castle. He mistakenly said Crown Jewel but he somehow managed it. He constantly showed is pain in the jaw for getting punched by Tyson Fury. He said that he will take the Universal title away from Roman Reigns soon.
Kevin Owens came out to the arena. They had a heated conversation between each other and at the end the conversation ended in a match. Owens was really amazing in the mic today just like always.

Match 4 – Kevin Owens defeated Theory
This was the match of the night for sure and here it was, the pay per view standard match of this week. What an amazing match it was! Both performers were really on top of their games. It was booked for a stunning 17 minutes and Owens at the end pinned Theory with the Stunner.
The Damage Ctrl came out to the arena. They talked about their victory at the Clash at the Castle and also announced that Dakota Kai and Iyo Sky would be challenging for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship next week on RAW. Bianca Belair came out and challenged Bayley in a match. Bayley said that she had nothing else to prove since she has already beat him. But whenever she felt it is needed, she would take the Championship away from Bianca.
Match 5 – Damian Priest defeated Rey Mysterio
This was also a very good match and it was booked for nearly 14 minutes. But it was not as good as the Theory vs Kevin Owens match that took place earlier tonight. However it did a good job in story telling. The whole Judgment Day kept on helping Priest from outside and he finally pinned Rey with the Sit Out Chokeslam. After the match, Rhea Ripley announced that Dominik would face Edge next week on RAW.
Match 6 – Steel Cage match for the WWE United States Championship – Bobby Lashley defeated The Miz to retain
This was the longest match of the night but definitely not the best, and honestly it was a weak and somehow pointless match. Why Miz faced Lashley inside Steel Cage for the title since the duo is not even having a feud? Steel Cage matches are mostly organized to end feuds.

About the match, it was mostly domininated by Lashley. But at the end, Miz had the match won as he almost escape from the cage. But Dexter Lumis appeared from under the ring and Miz went back to the ring in fear. Does this make any sense? He could have escape the cage and ran away.
Lashley then pinned Miz with a Spear. We must say this whole segment was terribly booked, it was almost meaningless, and there was no way it should be a main event segment. After the match, Lumis entered the ring and locked Miz in an Arm Triangle as this week’s RAW went of air.
Overall it was a disappointing week of Monday Night RAW to be honest. They wasted over half an hour with pre taped videos. Ongoing feuds are getting weak too. Did only too good things about this week’s RAW were the match between Theory and Kevin Owens and the whole sequence between the Judgement Day and Rey Mysterio and Edge.
The return of Braun Strowman was not very well booked either. Why did he even attack the tag teams? Just to send a message? He beat up people for no reason and we are still supposed to cheer for him? This might same a little harsh but we give this week’s RAW 1.5 out of 5. After such excellent shows previously, the expectation level is quite high and it totally failed to deliver.
