Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg Jesse James who is the former six times WWE Tag Team Champion recently revealed that a Brock Lesnar refused to work with the Modern Day Maharaja Jinder Mahal back in 2017.

Jinder Mahal received a shocking main event push back in 2017 after one year of the second brand split. It was an extremely shocking push. Nobody expected a wrestler like Jinder Mahal could ever be pushed to the main events. He defeated the Legend Killer Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship.

Road Dogg Reveals Brock Lesnar Refused To Work With Jinder Mahal

Randy Orton gave him a huge push. Jinder defeated him in back to back three pay per view events. After that it was Shinsuke Nakamura who continued his main event push. Finally he dropped the championship to AJ Styles after nearly a reign of six months. WWE booked the push really well but somehow it never worked.

Jinder’s main event pose is considered as one of the worst main event pushes in WWE history. He is even considered by many as the worst ever WWE Champion. Jinder is a jobber right now who loses almost every week.

So ultimately he is push was a huge failure. WWE booked this push just to promote their project in India. But it was not really a very good decision as they could have post Jinder as a mid card champion as well.

Jinder Mahal actually had a segment with Brock Lesnar after he lost the Championship to AJ Styles. Before AJ met Brock Lesnar in the champion vs champion match at Survivor Series of 2017, Jinder confronted Brock and offered his services. But he got beaten down by the Beast Incarnate along with the Singh Brothers. After that we never got to see any angle between this duo.

Road Dogg Jesse James who is the former six times WWE Tag Team Champion recently spoke to the Wrestling Outlaws podcast where he revealed that a Brock Lesnar refused to work with the Modern Day Maharaja Jinder Mahal back in 2017. He said;

“I don’t think so. Brock’s on another level. And so if you get somebody else that’s on, like, I don’t know that he’s on another level in a way where he could carry a Jinder Mahal title match and make it look competitive. I don’t know that he’s on that level. But yeah, I don’t think Jinder could do it.

“You call it an experiment, Chris. And I honestly think it was a summer experiment. And when Brock came back and said, ‘Okay, what are we going to do?’ We’ll do whatever we want to until Brock comes back, and then we’ll get the title on somebody to work with and we’ll have a main event match.”
