WWE Raw star and the current WWE Mr Money in the Bank Theory who is also a former WWE United States champion recently expressed his love for WWE Legend John Cena. He revealed what he has learned from the 16 times WWE World Champion.
Theory who is a former WWE United States champion had been a big fan of John Cena which he has revealed already. There were rumours that WWE would arrange a match between the duo soon. It was even rumoured for this year’s SummerSlam. When the match did not take place at SummerSlam, everybody expected it has just been postponed to WrestleMania 39.
Austin Theory Reveals What He Learned From John Cena
There were big rumours before Summerslam this year that he would go on to face John Cena at the Biggest Event of the Summer. Some of the fans even considered it a dream match. But the match could not take place as it was reported that John Cena could not arrange time for SummerSlam.
But with Mr McMahon taking retirement from his role in WWE, and after the takeover of Triple H, it looks like Theory is somehow losing his push. The way he attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank contract at Clash at the Castle was more of a comedy segment. We are unsure if WWE would push him to the main event level ever in the near future.
Theory who is also a former WWE United States champion recently spoke to CBS Sports where he expressed his love for WWE Legend John Cena. He revealed what he has learned from the 16 times WWE World Champion. He said;
“It’s so weird to meet somebody and pretty much have to explain to them, ‘I modeled my whole life after you.’ It’s one of those things as a kid getting bullied, my dad not being in my life a lot. Cena, I could watch him and just escape. It was the connection to his personality. That’s something I learned from him.
“He told me, ‘Don’t ever think people go out there and want people to connect to their performance. Nobody will connect to your performance unless they connect to your personality. I started thinking, even with that process through NXT to finally being drafted to Raw officially, it was a time to figure stuff out.
“How can I connect to them with my personality? This is a world in WWE where everybody can kill it in the ring. Everyone can go hard in the ring. So what’s going to set you aside from killing it in the ring? I learned that from him.”
