This week’s SmackDown started as The Brawling Brutes entered the ring. They got a new theme and it was pretty cool. Sheamus was not there as he was assaulted by the Bloodline last week. Backstage the Bloodline was seen plotting for the tag team match where Sami Zayn asked Jey Uso not to get involved into the match.
Match 1 – The Brawling Brutes defeated Sami Zayn and Solo Sikoa

This match was booked for 8 and a half minutes and it was a pretty cool and dramatic match. The match seemed like remaining in favour of Bloodline but at the end, Jey Uso tried to save Sami from a Frog Splash which Sami did not like and they started arguing.
As Sami entered the ring after the argument and went towards Butch, he quickly pinned Sami with a Small Package Hold. After the match, the argument between Jey and Sami continued, Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso took the side of Sami as if it was Jey Uso who cost them they are match.
WWE Undisputed Universal champion Roman Reigns came out to the arena along with Paul Heyman. He confronted his family to deliver one of the best segments of the year so far. He addressed Sami Zayn and Jey Uso and said they were acting like kids. If they kept acting like kids, they would be treated like kids too.
Sami Zayn tried to Bury the Hatchet with Jey Uso. He said he did not know what he did wrong to him but whatever he did he would like to apologize for that. Jey expressed his frustration on Sami as he said that he never liked him and he did not belong here since he was not family.
Sami said that there was no need to yell at him. He was trying to make peace since Roman wanted them to do so. Jey said he did not give a damn what Roman wanted. The next part of the segment was too good. It was arguably one of the best and funniest moments of this year so far.
Roman confronted Jey in anger. Once again Sami tried to handle the situation and said that Jey did not mean to say that. He was not very Uci lately. This broke Roman and he could not maintain kayfabe anymore as he smiled. The situation got so funny, that everyone started smiling. Jey covered his face as he desperately tried to maintain kayfabe. They finally handled the situation. They might have broke kayfabe but the moment was so damn funny.
The best part of the segment was everybody enjoyed this amazing moment. Even Roman made the situation more funny by repeating the phrase again. At the end, he said he might change Sami Zayn’s name to Sami Uso. Somehow the situation was controlled at the end, but it will always be remembered as one of the best kayfabe breaking moments in WWE history.
Match 2 – The New Day defeated The Maximum Male Models
The next up is a 4 minute long match and a routine defeated for the Maximum Male Models. Maybe Vince had some plans for this team, but in Triple H’s WWE, they have no chance. Xavier Woods pinned Mansoor to earn the victory for his side.
Match 3 – WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship – Ronda Rousey defeated Emma to retain
Ronda should an Open challenge which was answered by the returning star Emma. Surely Emma was brought back just to be another jobber. This match was booked for 6 minutes and Ronda made Emma submit with Cross Armbar to retain the title.
Match 4 – The Hit Row and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Legado Del Fantasma
This match was book for 6 minutes and it was a good match. Good to see Nakamura back in action once again. The babyface side dominated the early part of the match, and dominated most part. Nakamura pinned Joaquin Wilde with the Kinshasa to earn the victory for his side.
Match 5 – Karrion Kross defeated Madcap Moss
So in Triple H’s WWE, Madcap Moss is a jobber and nothing but a jobber. About the match it was not bad, it was booked for 7 minutes, but the victory of Karrion Kross was pretty dominant. He pinned Madcap Moss with the Punch to the Neck.
Backstage Kayla Braxton was interviewing Rey Mysterio where he was asked about his Intercontinental championship match next week. Imperium attacked him from behind and beat him down to send a message before his championship match next week.
Bray Wyatt entered the arena. His entrance is taking longer than Roman Reigns. He had a short promo before he got interrupted by Uncle Howdy on the big screen again. Everything was so cryptic. Somehow it does not feel like a wrestling storyline. Let us see where it heads ultimately. Uncle Howdy disappeared from the screen as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Overall it was another boring week of Smackdown with nothing much special, of course except the first Bloodline segment which was hilarious. The return of Emma after such a long time would not be very special because surely she will not be treated anything more than a jobber. The storyline of Bray Wyatt is getting boring now, if this keep going like this, soon fans would not be caring about it. So many backstage segments with nothing special ultimately. We give this week’s Smackdown 2 stars out of 5, and it is mostly for the Bloodline segment.
