Former six times Ohio Valley Wrestling Women’s Champion Serena Deeb who is also a former NWA World Women’s Champion recently revealed that she was coaching less so that she could wrestle more. She also thanked Cody Rhodes for always believing in her.
Serena Deeb was currently signed with the All Elite Wrestling and she has been doing fantastic in the promotion. She started her professional wrestling career back in 2005. She had an impressive time in the Independent Circuit.

Serena Deeb Reveals Why She Is Coaching Less
After wrestling in several promotions on the Independent Circuit she was signed by WWE in 2009. She first worked in the Florida Championship Wrestling which was the development Territory of WWE back then.
In 2010 she got her big break when WWE gave her a main roster contract. She became a member of the Straight Edge Society of CM Punk upon her debut on the main roster. But her run could not be continued for long as she was released by WWE soon after her main roster debut as it was said that she was not leaving her straight edge persona outside of WWE, and that was the reason behind her release.

After she was released by WWE on the same year of her main roster debut she managed to find success elsewhere. She made a return to WWE 2017 as a participant of The Mae Young Classic tournament. After that WWE approached her to give her a coaching role but she was released in 2020 due to the budget cut issues for covid-19 pandemic.
Serena Deeb who is also a former NWA World Women’s Champion recently spoke to The Flagship where she revealed that she was coaching less so that she could wrestle more. She also thanked Cody Rhodes for always believing in her. She said;
“I’ve been coaching a little less because I’ve been wrestling more. It’s honestly hard to do both on the same day because if you’re wrestling, you have to focus on the whole process of getting ready and on what you’re doing in the match. In the past when I had my knee injury, I was still traveling every week and I was coaching 2-3 matches a night.

“I want to give a shout out to Cody Rhodes because Cody always believed in me and would say to me, ‘You’re my coach, I want you as my coach.’ He always put me in that role for him and showed me that respect. That was really, really huge for me and I really appreciated that. When I’m not wrestling, I do want to be coaching but I’ve been doing more wrestling.
“When they have me on AEW Elevation or AEW Dark, they don’t give me producing roles because everyone on there has been a wrestler and they understand that if you have a match, it’s too much to also be coaching or producing. I did that on AEW Rampage about a month ago where I coached and wrestled the same night.”
