Nowadays it is really important to have a good mic skill. It is very rare that someone with weak mic skill are getting pushed to the main event level.

Steve Austin Thinks The Rock Was The Best Talker Of The Attitude Era
Most of the big names are really good on the mic. From time to time all the big names like Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, John Cena, or The Rock everyone was excellent on mic. It is almost mandatory to have good my skill to be post on to the main event level.
The Rock is not only considered as one of the best talkers of the Attitude Era but in the world of professional wrestling. His amazing mic work is one of the biggest reasons behind his selection in the Hollywood. Apart from the Rock, there were other wrestlers who are really good on the mic during his time, but the People’s Champ is arguably the best among all.

Stone Cold Steve Austin who is also a former six times WWE world champion recently spoke to the “First We Feast” Youtube channel where he talked about The Rock who was his biggest rival and addressed him the best talker of the Attitude Era. He said;
“You cannot overlook The Rock. When he first arrived on the scene, he was this good-looking, third-generation babyface and people just didn’t take to him. They’d say, ‘Die Rocky Die! Die Rocky Die! He started wearing the silk shirts and he started referring to himself in third person and working that eyebrow.

“And he electrified and captivated crowds with his catchphrases, his cadence and his delivery, and his message and calling everybody ‘jabroni. He commanded the audience’s respect, attention and elicited the response that he was looking for from them.”
“Once Jake got in the ring, he commanded your respect. He had this presence about him, and he’s one of the most economic, efficient workers out there, where he didn’t do a whole lot, but everything he did meant something, and he was always working for that DDT.”
