This week’s RAW started as the Bloodline came out to the arena. Sami Zayn was once again missing. It was only the Usos and Solo Sikoa. They talked about their upcoming match with New Day on this week’s Friday Night Smackdown. And they reminded everyone that they would cement themselves as the longest reigning Tag Team Champions after this victory.

The New Day interrupted them and they claimed to be the best tag team in WWE history. They exchanged some words as they were both interrupted by Matt Riddle. He desired to be a part of the upcoming Tag Team Championship match. Ultimately a six man tag team match got booked next.

WWE RAW 07.11.2022 Results & Ratings

Match 1 – The Bloodline defeated Matt Riddle and The New Day

This was a pay per view standard match which was booked for over 14 minutes and it had been an action packed and really fun match. It was a really excellent way to start the night. The biggest attraction of the match was Solo Sikoa who received the strongest booking of them all. Solo pinned Riddle with the Swinging Solo to earn the victory for his side.

Match 2 – Baron Corbin defeated Cedric Alexander

This match was booked for only three minutes and it was a routine win for Baron Corbin. Cedric Alexander is finally back on the main roster after jobbing on the Main Event for over months. Corbin pinned Alexander with the End of Days.

Seth Rollins student Open challenge for the United States Championship next. He was answered by the Judgement Day. Finn Balor what about to challenge him but they were interrupted by the OC. As OC and Judgment Day stood face to face, Seth Rollins escaped. AJ said at Crown Jewel they lost because it was 4 on 3. Now they have find an answer for Rhea Ripley. That answer was the returning star Mia Yim who attacked Rhea outside of the ring. The OC beat down Judgment Day real bad.

Match 3 – Otis defeated Elias

This match was even shorter than three minutes and it was a sponsored match so you could not expect much from it. Otis was the stronger force of the match who also won. Chad Gable kept on distracting Elias from outside and Otis pinned Elias with the World’s Strongest Slam.

Alexa Bliss, Asuka and the WWE Raw Women’s champion Bianca Belair confronted Damage CTRL next. Nikki Cross was on Damage CTRL’s side. The segment became violent at the end and the babyface site could not survive the 4 on 3 assault. A War Games match was announced at the end of the segment. We know all the heel members, but one member from team Bayley is yet to be announced.

Match 4 – Austin Theory defeated Shelton Benjamin

So Cedric Alexander was not be only star who returned to Monday Night RAW, his former Tag Team partner Shelton Benjamin also came back. But for the same reason, to job. The match was booked for only two and a half minutes and Theory pinned Benjamin with the ATL.

Next up was a one on one match between Johnny Gargano and the Miz. But before the match, Gargano presented stronger video evidence to prove the conspiracy theory of Dexter Lumis, and whatever Gargano claimed last week. Gargano showed a video footage recorded by a private investigator suggesting the fact Miz paid Lumis and he was trying to take revenge since he stopped paying him.

Match 5 – The Miz defeated Johnny Gargano

This match was unnecessarily long, it was booked for 13 minutes and the wrestlers could not utilise the time that was given. The Miz founded a way to get a cheeky victory. He pretended that he was getting pulled by someone from inside the ring. When the referee tried to see who was inside, Miz hit Gargano with an object which the referee did not notice. And he pinned Gargano after that. After the match, Dexter Lumis appeared and hit Miz with a chair

Match 6 – WWE 24/7 Championship – Nikki Cross defeated Dana Brooke to become new champion

The match was booked for only 2 minutes and it was an easy win for Nikki Cross. This was also the first time that 24/7 Championship got defended on Monday Night RAW since Triple H got incharge. This would have been a great idea to use the 24/7 Championship as a mid card title for the women’s division. We would like to see the title getting defended more often, but not as a comedy object, but…..

But it might not happen. The 24/7 Championship might be dead for good. After this match, Damage CTRL was seen walking backstage along with Nikki Cross who dump to the 24/7 Championship into the garbage. Maybe we are seeing the end of this Championship. It is high time to introduce a mid card title to the women’s division.

WWE United States champion Seth Rollins issued his Open challenge for the second time. Mustafa Ali wanted to answer his challenge but he was attacked by Bobby Lashley. Lashley entered the ring to answer the challenge but it looked like he did not give a damn about the match. He beat down Rollins really bad and left the stage.

Match 7 – WWE United States Championship – Seth Rollins defeated Austin Theory to retain

After the beat up, Austin Theory came out and cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on the United States Championship. The match was in Theory’s hand, but Lashley returned to beat down Theory this time. Rollins pinned Theory after the beat down. Rollins celebrated with the title as this week’s RAW went off air.

This is going to be an iconic week on Monday Night RAW, but mostly for the bad things. Two big things happened this week on RAW, first, the 24/7 Championship retired. We hope WWE comes out with a new mid card championship for women. And the second, The Legacy of the Money in the Bank finished forever.

For 17 long years it had been a shortcut to win a World championship, for the first time in the history it was cashed in on a mid card Championship. We can understand they cannot De Throne Roman Reigns by the hands of Theory. But he could have just challenged Roman and lost, what was the big deal? If they had no plans of crowning Theory as any champion, then why United States Championship?

While burying Theory, they buried Money in the Bank as well. It was a terrible decision and arguably the worst decision made in 2022. Apart from this, the overall night had been average. This one single booking made everything look so weak. We give this week’s RAW 1.5 out of 5.
