WWE Smackdown Star and the current and former two times WWE Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey who is a former WWE RAW Women’s champion and the winner of the women’s Royal Rumble match of 2022 recently talked about her desire to wrestle with former three times WWE Women’s Champion Asuka.
Ronda Rousey is one of the biggest Legends of the MMA who made her WWE debut back in 2018. It was the Royal Rumble pay per view event where her debut took place. Later she went on to win WWE Raw Women’s Championship and she also ran an undefeated streak.
Ronda Rousey Wants To Wrestle Asuka
She faced almost all the big names of the WWE while being the WWE RAW Women’s champion and defeated all of them. For WrestleMania 35 in 2019, WWE booked a triple threat match where both WWE RAW and Smackdown Women’s Championship where on the line.
This was also the first ever women’s main event in the history of WrestleMania. The other two wrestlers except of Ronda were Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch. Charlotte Flair was the WWE SmackDown Women’s champion during that match. Becky Lynch won this match by pinning Ronda. After losing this match she did not appear in WWE for the next three years.
She finally made her return to WWE as a surprise in front of the women’s Royal Rumble match of this year. She won the Royal Rumble match and it was also the first ever participation of her in a Royal Rumble match. She made her mind to challenge Charlotte Flair at WWE WrestleMania 38 pay per view event for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. Even though she lost the match to Charlotte Flair.
At the very next pay per view event which WrestleMania Backlash, Ronda Rousey defeated Charlotte Flair in an I Quit match to win the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship. Since then she had been really dominant and unbeaten in Friday Night Smackdown.
At Money in the Bank, she dropped the Smackdown Women’s title to Liv Morgan who cashed in her Money in the Bank contract. Since then she had a couple of feuds with the management. At Extreme Rules, she would be challenging Liv Morgan for the title in an Extreme Rules match.
Ronda Rousey who is a former WWE RAW Women’s champion and the winner of the women’s Royal Rumble match of 2022 recently spoke on her recent Video Gaming Stream where she talked about her desire to wrestle with former three times WWE Women’s Champion Asuka. She said;
“Ooohh me and Asuka would be great. Maybe that’s something I can pitch, cause they do the draft before Survivor Series, maybe I could pitch them drafting Asuka.
“But isn’t she part of the Bianca [Belair] faction now? It’s Alexa, Asuka and Bianca are like a faction now. I don’t think they’d let me steal her.”
“I’m spoiled in that I get to pick who I want to work with like, ‘Hey I think this person’s awesome and has a lot of potential,’” Ronda said. “I want to really, like, put this person over and have people see how great they are.”
