This week’s SmackDown started as the music of the WWE Undisputed Tag Team champions The Usos hit and the Usos entered for the first match of the night. The New Day challenged them for the Tag Team Championship. It was also a big quest for The Usos to become the longest reigning Tag Team Championship WWE history.
Match 1 – WWE Undisputed Tag Team Championship – The Usos defeated The New Day to retain

WWE Smackdown 11.11.2022 Results & Ratings
This was not only the best match of the night but it was one of the best matches produced by WWE in 2022. One thing we can guarantee that this was the best match on weekly shows of WWE in 2022. If this match was produced by any independent circuit promotion or even AEW, we are pretty sure Dave Meltzer would have give it 5 stars.
Kudos to both teams for putting up such an amazing performance. The match was booked for 18 minutes, in spite of being predictable, there were moments that would make you think anything could have happened. Jey Uso pinned Kofi Kingston after a 1D to earn the victory for his side. This match will always be remembered as one of the best Tag Team matches in WWE history.
Match 2 – Smackdown World Cup Tournament First Round – Santos Escober defeated Shinsuke Nakamura

This was another unique concept. 8 wrestlers from 8 different nations will represent their countries in this tournament and the winner will receive an intercontinental championship shot. This is definitely a better idea then the world cup that WWE or organised previously.
About the first match of the tournament, it was booked for five minutes. Nakamura dominated most part of the match. But at the end, Santos Escober came out strong as there were outside distractions for Nakamura. Escober pinned Nakamura with the Phantom Driver.
Backstage LA Knight was interviewed where he was confronted by Bray Wyatt. Bray offered his friendship to Knight and explained his similarities with him. Knight insulted Bray in return and Bray hit him with a Headbutt and left. This might be the beginning of a potential feud between this duo.
Match 3 – Six Pack Challenge to determine the No. 1 contender for the Smackdown Women’s Championship – Shotzi defeated Lacey Evans, Xia Li, Raquel Rodriguez, Sonya Deville and Liv Morgan

This match was booked for eight minutes and it was a fun match. Good to see they came up with a new challenger for Ronda Rousey. Liv Morgan winning it again would have been boring. Shotzi who picked up most beating in this match pinned Lacey Evans with a DDT to win the match and become the no. 1 contender for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Backstage Shotzi was congratulated by Emma on her victory and they teased a love angle between Emma and Madcap Moss. These types of angles are quite rare these days. So it would be fun. Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey also confronted Shotzi which ended up in Shotzi Neck Locking and nailing Shotzi.
Match 4 – Smackdown World Cup Tournament First Round – Braun Strowman defeated Jinder Mahal
This match was only booked for two minutes and it was a very easy win for Braun Strowman. Jinder got some offences early in the match but once Braun got in control Jinder was nowhere. Braun pinned Jinder with a Powerbomb to advance to the semi finals.

Zelina Vega and B-Fab were scheduled to go one on one next. They were accompanied by their respective teams. But before the match could start they got attacked by The Viking Raiders, they had the returning Sarah Logan along with them. They beat down both teams and the match never happened. But Sarah Logan had been given a terrible make up. A beautiful woman like her did not need such a scary look.
The Bloodline came out to the arena. They took their as usual five minute long entrance. Paul Heyman cut a short promo before handing the mic over to Roman Reigns. He talked about the victory of the Usos earlier tonight. He also explained why he is the best in the business right now.
The Brawling Brutes interrupted The Bloodline. They announced a fight for revenge against the Bloodline and they entered the arena to start a fight. But the numbers game was in favour of the Bloodline. Drew McIntyre came out to the arena and joined the fight. He teamed up with the Brawling Brutes and fought The Bloodline. The brawl continued as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Overall it was a very good week of Smackdown. It was certainly one of the best weeks of Friday Night Smackdown in the recent time. They produced a 5 Star match, new rivalries began, they teased the men’s WarGames match, what else do you expect more from a two hour show? The only and big downgrade of this week’s SmackDown was, they wasted a lot of time with the highlights of Crown Jewel. Another downgrade was, they are not being able to book anything unpredictable. We give this week’s SmackDown 3 stars out of 5.
