The saga of the new Indian national team coach has ended with a romantic climax as arguably the best bowler that the country has ever produced was given the role of a head coach for the national side.
Anil Kumble, one of three players to pick up 600 Test Wickets was announced as the new Indian team coach after he pipped former Indian international Ravi Shastri to the post.
The Cricket Advisory Committee along with the BCCI congratulated the Kumble who will take care of the team for the next year.
His first real test will start when India tour the Caribbean in July and it will be interesting to see how the 45-year old will maintain a chemistry among the side and also between the test and the ODI skippers of the side.
However, Kumble did not waste any time in getting closer to the two skippers as he took to social media not long after he was elected.
Kumble who is reasonably active on the social website Twitter, received wishes from his former team-mates and also the current Indian players.
