This week’s SmackDown started as the Bloodline (excluding, Roman Reigns, ofcourse) came out to the arena. Sami Zayn was scheduled for the opening match of the night. Before the match they cut a promo on their Survivor Series performance. Sami was about to give the credit the Usos for their win at Survivor Series.
Jimmy Uso stopped him and said that they won at Survivor Series because of Sami Zayn. Jey Uso said that he always doubted Sami but he proved his loyalty to the Bloodline at Survivor Series, and now Jey had respect for him. Jimmy asked him how he was feeling and Sami said that he was feeling pretty Ucey. It was such a feel good moment.

WWE SmackDown 02.12.2022 Results & Ratings
Match 1 – Sami Zayn defeated Sheamus
The first match of the night was booked for 12 minutes and it was a very fun match. The later part of the match contained outside interferences but it was still pretty fun. Usos kept on trying to assist Sami from outside. Brutes also got involved. At the end, Jey hit a Super Kick on Sheamus which the referee did not notice and Sami pinned Sheamus with a roll up.
They spent the next 10 minutes with unnecessary backstage segments and pre taped footages. SmackDown is only a 2 hour show and you have a lot of wrestler signed for the brand. Without using them properly, you are wasting times. This is the story of every week and seriously not done.
Match 2 – Shayna Baszler defeated Emma
This match was booked for only four minutes and it was an easy victory for Shayna Baszler. It was not a squash but a pretty easy one for Shayna who made Emma submit with the Kirifuda Clutch. White clearly Emma is brought back just to work as a jobber. But good to see Shayna is finally getting the push she deserved.
After the match, when Emma was trying to crawl out of the ring, Shayna attacked her again. Shotzi came out to help Emma, but Shayna got the better out of her too. Raquel Rodriguez came out next to help Emma and Shotzi with an injured left arm. Meanwhile Emma and Shotzi were back on their feet. Shayna avoided the three on one Battle and escaped.

A pre taped footage was shown promoting Lacey Evans who was seen doing some military training. They are trying to promote her once again. Her previous run was the really awful. Hopefully they do not mess it up.
Match 3 – WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther defeated Kofi Kingston
This match was booked for eight and a half minutes and it was a good competitive match. However, Kofi was the Never book as a worthy competitor for Gunther who pinned Kofi with the finisher called the Last Symphony which is a Sit Out Powerslam.
Backstage Bloodline was seen talking to each other. Sami Zayn went out to have a meal. Jimmy Uso told him to take Solo Sikoa with him since he had been making some enemies lately. As Sami and Solo left, The Usos were talking to each other. Suddenly, Sheamus attacked the duo and nailed them with a Shillelagh. He then informed that he and Drew McIntyre would be challenging the Usos next week on Monday Night RAW.
The Damage CTRL came out to the arena next. They talked about their performance at Survivor Series and they explained what they had to go through. Liv Morgan interfered them and went on to fight three all alone. Soon, the numbers game became heavy on Liv as Damage CTRL got the control. The returning star Tegan Nox came out to help Liv and the duo took out Damage CTRL together. It is a great move to bring “The Lady Kane” back to WWE.

Match 4 – Smackdown World Cup Finals – Ricochet defeated Santos Escober
The final of The Smackdown World Cup was booked for 16 minutes and what an amazing performance from this duo. Needless to say that it was a pay per view worthy performance. Both of the wrestlers were on top of their game. Thanks to Triple H, we are finally getting to see what all these wrestlers are actually capable of.
The match was special for so many reasons, back to back near falls was one of the biggest reasons. In only two minutes time, Legado Del Fantasma were sent off due to outside interferences and the match remained fair. At the end, Ricochet pinned Escober with the 630. Ricochet started celebrating with the world cup trophy and WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther confronted as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Overall it was a good episode of Smackdown with some really good action packed matches. The return of Tegan Nox was the really special. Hopefully WWE does not treat her like a jobber. But once again, no World Cup segment at all and time wasting unnecessary backstage segments and pre taped footages where also some of the biggest downfalls.
No booking for Braun Strowman, The Viking Raiders, Hit Row, and Karrion Kross. When you have a such talented wrestlers on your roster, why don’t you just book them rather than wasting time with unnecessary things? But again, the main event of the night was really good. We give this week’s SmackDown 2 out of 5. The last match, the return of Tegan Nox, strong booking for Shayna Baszler are some of things about the night.
