Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is also a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion and a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion recently talked about WWE NXT and explained why fans should be watching it.
NXT had been the development Territory of WWE for quite a long time. It first came into existence in 2010 but not as the development territory. Back then Florida Championship Wrestling was the development territory of WWE. NXT was more of a reality show two raise future WWE stars. It was quite similar to the WWE Tough Enough.

Booker T Explains Why Fans Should Be Watching NXT
From 2012 WWE started to promote NXT as their next development territory. It is still in existence and going quite strong. It has produced some of the biggest names in the world of professional wrestling today such as Seth Rollins and Big E. A lot of fans considered it more entertaining than all of the previous WWE development territories. There was a time when it was treated as the third brand of WWE next to SmackDown and RAW.
Under Triple H NXT was mostly treated as an alternative to the independent circuit wrestling. They brought some of the biggest names from the independent circuit such as Adam coal and Johnny Gargano and made it a huge competitor for the independent circuit. There were really quality matches and NXT was definitely a huge show not to miss.

In 2021 WWE tried to change the style of NXT by making it strictly a development territory and named it NXT 2.0. Once again they promoted some big names like Bron Breakker and Joe Gacy. Recently WWE has gone back to their previous style of the NXT and it looks like WWE will try to build NXT as an alternative to the independent circuit wrestling once again.
Booker T who is also a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion and a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion recently spoke on his Hall Of Fame podcast where he talked about WWE NXT and explained why fans should be watching it. He said;

“Watch the show, man, become a part of it, because it’s special. These are the guys we’re getting a chance to see before they make it to the SmackDown roster, before they make it to Raw. And me, personally, I’d like to see some of those guys stick around in NXT for a while just because they really make the brand stand out.”
“I’m loving it. I’m so loving it. It feels so much like Reality of Wrestling. You have a pep talk after the show. The guys are wanting more, and they’ll stay there all night if they could. I love being at NXT. I can honestly say I didn’t think I’d feel the way I do right now about NXT, I just didn’t.”
