Indian Test captain Virat Kohli is all set for the West Indies tour. After a month’s break from cricket, Kohli started his training for the four-Test West Indies tour.
In the 2015-2016 season, he started his cricket season against South Africa when his team defeated South Africa and broke their unbeaten run in Test cricket. Kohli as a batsman during the Australia tour played an outstanding cricket. India lost the ODI series, but in the T20I series India bruised Australia with 3-0 margin.
In the Asia Cup T20 Virat kept his swansong and blew away everything that hurled at him. India have won the Asia Cup and then in the World T20 he excelled with series of mind-blowing performances.
But in the semifinal against West Indies Kohli’s unbeaten 89 has gone in vain as West Indies have won the match by seven wickets in hand as Lendl Simmons’ unbeaten 82 run unstoppable innings destroyed India’s hope in the WT20. However, Kohli’s swansong continued in the IPL where he scored record-breaking 973 runs in 16 matches as a captain of the Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Kohli also inspired his team to qualify for the final from bottom second position of the point table. Kohli’s team finished at the second position at the point table after the end of the tournament.
However, in the final, his team failed to chase down Surisers Hyderabad’s 207.
BCCI has given him a rest from international cricket along with other key players of the Indian team. A young brigade toured Zimbabwe under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. India have won both the ODI and T20 series.
Now for the West Indies tour, he sports a new style to his hair. Possibly the weather conditions of the Caribbean prompt him to make hair small and straight. Add to this he is going to start another new season from a break because after the West Indies tour he will lead India against New Zealand , England, and Australia at home.
