Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin who is a former six times WWE World Champion recently reflected on the rumours of his return to WWE. It is heavily rumoured that Austin might return to WWE for another match at WrestleMania 39.
Stone Cold Steve Austin was one of the biggest stars of the Attitude Era of WWE. He was one of the last megastars of the promotion and he has been a former six times World champion in WWE. He is considered to be one of the biggest reasons behind the success of WWE over WCW during the famous Monday Night Wars. Austin featured in some of the best rivalries and storylines during the time and he turned out to be one of the biggest stars of this time.
Steve Austin Reflects On The Return Rumours
But in 2003 he was forced to retire from in ring action as an old neck injury turned out to be deadly and it literally killed his career. After his match against the Rock from WrestleMania XIX, he had no other option but to quit the world of professional wrestling. It was a huge shock for the world of wrestling that such a huge star had to retire at the age of 38 only.
But in 2022, he finally made his in ring return and 19 years of wait was finally over when he stepped foot inside the ring with Kevin Owens. At WrestleMania 38, Owens welcomed Austin as his special guest on the KO show. The segment ended when Owens challenged Austin in a one on one match and Austin accepted the challenge. It was they No Holds Barred match and Austin was pretty impressive even after 19 years.
Everybody believed that it was he is the last match and it was such a feel good moment to see the biggest star of the Attitude Era wrestling his final match in 2022. However, the recent rumours suggest that Austin will be back for another match at WrestleMania 39 and he is training really hard for it. A number of names have already rumourd on who could be his opponent. People loved to believe the theory of a dream match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and John Cena.
Stone Cold Steve Austin who is a former six times WWE World Champion recently talked on his Instagram account where he reflected on the rumours of his return to WWE. It is heavily rumoured that Austin might return to WWE for another match at WrestleMania 39. He said;
“People have been speculating, ‘Hey Steve, what are you doing? What are you training for? Are you training for an event?’ I just simply looked in the mirror and realized I look like shit so I called my diet coach up and my macros are currently, give or take, roughly around 2650 calories 300-320 grams of protein, 150 grams of carbs on a regular day, will spike at 420 on a load up.
“I still drink beer on Friday nights. Get 3 Broken Skull IPAs and that’s pretty much it. I’m probably, as far as body weight goes, sub-232, the leanest I’ve been in forever. Anyway, I’m out. I just got tired of looking In the mirror, I got tired of looking like shit, so I’m taking action to do something about it. I gotta go. Catch you down the road.”
