Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair who is also a former 16 times World champion as recognized by WWE recently gave his opinion on who Roman Reigns should face for the WWE Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 39 if the Rock is not available.
Roman Reigns is the undefeated WWE World champion for over two years. And the promotion is so obsessed with the champion right now that they have the given him both world titles of the company. Sometimes it seems like WWE care less about their rest of the roster and it is all about Roman.
Ric Flair Reflects On Who Should Face Roman Reigns At WrestleMania 39 If Rock Is Not Available
For the last 2 years, WWE has founded two names who could job to Roman to lift him on the grandest stage of them all. On the first year it was WWE Hall of Famer Edge, and on the very next year it was Brock Lesnar. We can say that WWE used two back to back Royal Rumble matches just to lift Roman.
This year, two names had been rumoured on who could be the opponent of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. The biggest rumour was The People’s Champion The Rock. WWE is trying to book The Rock as the component of Roman Reigns at a stage like WrestleMania from last year. But they could not do it last year. This were they were pretty much desperate.
But the Rock is founding it difficult to give date for WrestleMania 39. The next favourite name on who could be the potential opponent for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 is Cody Rhodes who had been pretty impact full since returning to WWE last year. And a lot of fans prefer this match as well since it would be pretty unpredictable as well.
Ric Flair who is also a former 16 times World champion as recognized by WWE recently spoke on his To Be The Man podcast where he gave his opinion on who Roman Reigns should face for the WWE Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 39 if the Rock is not available. He said;
“Well, as I said before, my first preference, I’m tied with two things. I’d like to see Cody and/or Randy Orton, if is back. I don’t think Randy, I looked it up, I don’t think Randy and Roman have ever worked, except in a tag match maybe.
“But obviously Cody, Cody was on fire when he got injured. And I mean, he brings so much energy and I mean, he has really become a hell of a talent, and I think that’d be a great match also. Now it’s sold out, they can do what they want, I think it’s sold out on both nights already.”
