PSG superstar and winger Neymar has named two of the world’s emerging wonderkids who have caught his attention the most. The footballing world has become no less than a pool of prodigies, with enormous amount talent being fished out of it. Mostly in their teenage, a host of players taken the world by storm announcing their talent in the most stunning manner.

With such a vast sea of young players showcasing their talent, Neymar was tasked with picking only two on them who have impressed him. And it was no big surprise or revelation that Neymar went ahead with two of the fellow Brazilians- Rodrygo and Endrick. The duo are being recognised by some of the biggest names in football today, and are regarded as two of the game’s top upcoming stars, including Neymar now.

Neymar picks Rodrygo and Endrick as two top wonderkids

According to Neymar, Rodrygo who represented Brazil alongside him at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and Palmeiras striker Endrick are the two wonderkids he is excited about. Both Rodrygo and Endrick are soon to become teammates at Real Madrid after the Los Blancos swooped in for the latter recently. Rodrygo, on the other hand, joined Real in the summer of 2019 from Neymar’s parent club, Santos. Asked about which two raw talents have got excited him, Neymar stated:

“Wonderkids I’m most excited about? Endrick and Rodrygo.”

Rodrygo’s move to Real Madrid has been a huge success, and he has rapidly emerged as one of the club’s best young players, contributing significantly to their development since his arrival. Rodrygo has so far netted an impressive 27 goals and provided 27 assists in just over 100 appearances for the Los Blancos, also lifting five trophies including the Champions League.

He has a devoted fan following in the Spanish capital because of his capacity to perform under pressure and produce in crucial situations. He has been terrorising defenders with his speed, agility, and dribbling abilities and has been crucial to Real Madrid’s recent success. Rodrygo produced a brilliant 5 goals and 2 assists in 11 games for the club in last season’s Champions League campaign, helping them to the glory.

Endrick now hopes to follow in the footsteps of his fellow countryman Rodrygo, as well as Vinicius Jr, who also made the leap from Flamengo to Real Madrid in the summer of 2018. The Palmeiras striker became one of the hottest prospects across Europe despite trading his deal in Brazil. At 16, Endrick has already established himself as a first-team regular for the Brazilian club, netting 12 goals in 26 games this season.

Europe’s top clubs in Barcelona, PSG, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United were all after the striker, only for Real Madrid to fork out a Brazilian record package of €60m plus €12m in taxes for his acquisition. Endrick is still only 16-years-old, yet he already displays traits and skills of an amazing footballer and is expected to have a successful career. Moreover, Real have handled some of the best talents in the best manner, with the breakthroughs of Vinicius and Rodrygo a testament to it.
