The much-anticipated four-match IND vs AUS Test series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy is less than a week away. India and Australia will renew their celebrated rivalry in Tests on February 9 when the first Test gets underway in Nagpur.

Among current players, India’s Cheteshwar Pujara leads the list with 1893 runs and is followed by Steve Smith (1742 runs) and Virat Kohli (1682 runs).
IND vs AUS 2023 – Most wickets:
Former India captain Anil Kumble leads the chart for the leading wicket taker in India-Australia Tests with 111 scalps at 30.32. Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh is second in the list with 95 wickets to his name.
At number three is current Australia spin spearhead Nathan Lyon who has picked up 94 wickets against India in Tests. Lyon will have a chance to go past both Kumble and Harbhajan.
IND vs AUS 2023 – Highest individual score:
The record for the highest individual score in IND vs AUS Tests is held by former Australia captain Michael Clarke for his knock of 329 not out during the 2012 Sydney Test. VVS Laxman’s monumental knock of 281 during the 2001 Eden Gardens Test is second in the list.

Former India bowler Jasubhai Patel holds the record of the best bowling figures in IND vs AUS Tests for his performance of 9 for 69 during the Kanpur Test in 1959. Nathan Lyon’s 8 for 50 in the 2017 Bengaluru Test is second in the list.

The other bowlers who have picked up 8 wickets in an innings during an IND vs AUS Test are Kapil Dev (8/106), Anil Kumble (8/141) and Jason Krejza (8/215).
