LA Knight spent a long time on the independent circuit and other professional wrestling promotions before joining WWE in 2021. He had a short tenure in WWE back in 2008 where he was mostly treated as a jobber. But he was why to a big sensation on the independent circuit.

LA Knight Reflects On His Comparison With The Rock

His Impact Wrestling run which started in 2015 and lasted for 4 years had been pretty impressive. He had been presented as a main event start in Impact as he won multiple championships including the Impact World Championship one time.

In 2021 he signed with WWE and started working on the NXT which was the development territory of WWE. He mostly worked as a heel in the NXT and he became a big attraction because of his amazing mic skill.

The only title he held in the NXT was the Million Dollar Championship which was extremely rare. During this time, his feud with Cameron Grimes became quite famous. In 2022 he made his main roster debut under a completely new gimmick called Max Dupri.

But the gimmick was not very well received by the fans and after Triple H became the Head of Creative of WWE, he decided to restore him into his previous LA Knight gimmick. Once again his excellent mic skill was loved by the fans.

His first major feud in the main roster was with none other than Bray Wyatt. The feud was not very well received at first but as time passed, it slowly became quite exciting. Knight really did an amazing job in this feud and we hope he has a great future lying ahead of himself in WWE.

LA Knight who is also a former Impact World champion recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet on Insight where he talked about being praised for his excellent mic skill and people comparing him with The Rock for it. He said;

“Well, you know what’s so funny is as I go online, you know, and Twitter might be the worst thing in the world. The amount of people I’ve been compared to and said that I am is astounding. And every day I’ll see a new one. And I’ll just be like wait, who? That too. So yeah, it’s not surprising.

“But yeah, I mean, just the voice tambour again, I mean, watching the hero back in 2013. I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since that, but sometimes you would just hear my voice or you’d hear His voice.

“And it would be tough to tell who was who you’re just like, and until the person’s face came on screen you’re like oh, yeah. But I don’t know. I don’t think otherwise there’s a whole like [similarity]. It’s just my normal speaking voice. But like, I don’t think that once I actually get amped up or anything like that, I think I kind of lose it at that point.”
