Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Booker T who is also a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently talked about the rumours of a potential Steve Austin vs Roman Reigns match at WrestleMania 39 and explained why he does not want to see this match.

Stone Cold Steve Austin has made his return to in ring action last year at WrestleMania 38 after 19 years of long absence. His last match was against his biggest nemesis The Rock and the match to place at WWE WrestleMania XIX. After this match he was forced to retired from in ring action due to a deadly injury.

Booker T Discusses Potential Steve Austin Vs. Roman Reigns Match

It was a big blow for the world of professional wrestling. Fans always waited to see him back in action. It took him 19 long years to finally make his return. At WrestleMania 38 he faced Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match and it was a really feel good moment for the wrestling fans.

Everybody expected that it would be his retirement match. But now the rumours are suggesting that he would be back for another match and it would take place at WrestleMania 39. A number of rumoured names have already been tabled. There had been names like John Cena and even The Rock are on the table.

Another rumoured name is the WWE Universal Heavyweight champion Roman Reigns whom Austin might face for the title at WrestleMania 39. This might be the last match of Austin’s career and can be one of the most memorable one as well. The name might not be confirmed yet, but it is pretty much confirmed that the WWE Hall of Famer will be in action at WrestleMania 39.

Booker T who is also a former five times WCW World Heavyweight champion recently spoke on his latest Hall Of Fame podcast where he talked about the rumours of a potential Steve Austin vs Roman Reigns match at WrestleMania 39 and explained why he does not want to see this match. He said;

“I think Steve’s role could be a little bit bigger, you know, then being in the rumble because we all know what the rumble is leading to. I don’t think we want to put Steve Austin in a match like that knowing where it would lead to, which is him getting tossed out because he’s not going to win it.”

“I don’t think that works. For Steve Austin to get up off the sofa at this age he is right now is pretty hard. Getting in the ring with Roman would not be a good idea.”
