Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best bowlers of the decade and  it is unfortunate that he is not part of India for all important Border-Gavaskar Trophy coming up. Jasprit Bumrah is not part of the squad for the first two Tests, While not a lot is known about Bumrah’s fitness, a report states that he is likely to miss the four BGT Tests and probably make a comeback in the ODI squad for the series against Australia.

A few days back, it was reported that Bumrah had started bowling in the NCA nets and that he could make a comeback for the last two Tests against Australia if everything goes well.

According to a report in The telegraph, the Indian management have decided not to risk him in a Test series to keep fully fit for ODI world cup  to be played later in the year. The Telegraph quoted sources as saying:

“Bumrah has been undergoing full-tilt bowling sessions at the NCA for the past few days and has pulled up well. There has been no stiffness the following day, which is the most encouraging part for him

The management do not want rush him, so that Bumrah can take some more time off to recover from his injury woes and would expect him to come out fully fit for the forthcoming season.

I replied, ‘He (Bumrah) is a very smart bowler. He understands it,”. Ishant revealed in a chat with Cricbuzz

Barring Injuries, Bumrah has established himself as one of the finest bowlers in the world, be it white-ball cricket or red-ball.
