Former India Batting Coach Sanjay Bangar has said that Rohit Sharma’s approach against the Australian spinners reminded him of Cheteshwar Pujara‘s batting in the 2018-19 Australia Tour. Rohit’s century helped India to post a massive lead in 1st innings and the home team went on to win the game by massive innings and 132-run margin inside three days.
Speaking to Star Sports, The Royal Challengers Bangalore Head Coach Bangar said that Rohit Sharma’s intent against the spinners was excellent and it reminded him of Pujara’s batting in Australia Tour 2018-19.
“The best thing for me was that the intent was good in any case, but he even stepped out and defended quite a few balls. He reminded me of Cheteshwar Pujara because of the way Cheteshwar Pujara defeated Australia in Australia, Rohit Sharma defeated the spinners in the same way in India.”

Sanjay Bangar further added that Rohit came down the pitch and defended the ball very well, which helped him to do exceptionally well against the spinners
“He came down the pitch quite a few times and defended. Usually, players or batters intend to play big shots after stepping out, but he continued to restrain himself and he showed that by doing it exceptionally well.”
I Feel Kuldeep Yadav Will Be A Big Impact Player – Sanjay Bangar Excepts Kuldeep To Do Well
Kuldeep Yadav has been in fine touch across formats in recent months. Kuldeep had registered a Player-of-the-Match-winning performance in the first Test against Bangladesh in December and Played well in the recently concluded limited overs series against New Zealand
“In the bowling department, I feel Kuldeep Yadav will be a big impact player because I remember the 2017-18 series at Dharamsala, he picked up those three or four wickets which laid the foundation for India winning the Test series.
The RCB coach believes Kuldeep will make a big impact on the Indian team and wish to see him playing at least two matches in the Border Gavaskar Trophy
