Urvashi Rautela, the Bollywood actress, has wished all the best to Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant as he recovers from a horrific accident that happened on December 30, 2022, while he was driving from Delhi to his home in Uttarakhand.

His Mercedes car collided with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun expressway and caught fire, forcing him to break the car window and get out of the vehicle. Initially, he was treated at the Max Hospital in Dehradun for multiple injuries, including plastic surgery for the burns and abrasions he suffered on his back and face during the accident.

The BCCI then decided to move Rishabh Pant from Dehradun to the Kokilben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai as they wanted him to be treated by a specialist as the keeper had suffered injuries to his right knee as well.

Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, the Mumbai hospital specialist, then conducted surgery on the cricket on January 7 to repair a ligament tear on his right knee. He was kept under observation by the hospital for some time.

According to the report, Rishabh has had major surgery on the medial collateral ligament (MCL) and minor repair on the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) while the doctors are hoping the rest of his injured ligaments will heal naturally.

“All the ligaments were injured. The posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) is a cause of concern. The doctors said that MCL surgery was absolutely necessary. Now, his PCL will be assessed in two weeks. Hopefully, it will not need any further surgery. As of now, he essentially has undergone just one major surgery,” a BCCI source said.

“The ligaments usually heal in four to six weeks. After that rehab and strengthening will begin. His return to play will be assessed in another two months. Pant realises that it will be a tough road. He will have to undergo counselling sessions too. It could be four to six months before he can start playing,” the source added.

However, he was discharged from the hospital and he has been recovering at home.

Urvashi Rautela and Rishabh Pant saga is not a new thing as the two had been constantly linked to one another without either of them confirming anything. Urvashi had spoken about Pant in interviews and even posted on his social media without directly mentioning him.

She had talked about a certain ‘Mr. RP’ in the said interview and revealed how she kept him waiting for hours in a hotel lobby. Later, Pant all but confirmed that he was Mr. RP by taking indirect shots at Urvashi Rautela through his Instagram story.

Last month, she had posted an Instagram story showing the exteriors of the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai just hours after Pant was admitted there following his horrific car accident.

Now celebrity photographer Viral Biyani shared a video of Urvashi Rautela at the airport where she was asked about the latest photo posted by Rishabh Pant in which he is seen walking with crutches with his left leg in a support strap.

When the person making the video asks her about the photo, she asks which photo. After being informed about the photo, Urvashi calls Rishabh an asset to the country.

Later when the person says, “Hamari dua hai unke saath,” to which Urvashi says, “Hamari bhi”.
