Touted as the most in-form player across Europe at the moment, Marcus Rashford is currently enjoying the form of his life. The striker has been resurrected like no one under Erik ten Hag, and is now truly firing on all cylinders. Rashford has an outstanding 24 goals in 36 games so far this season, alongside an impressive 8 assists. As a result, the striker has attracted strong interest from a handful of clubs, with United understood to have even put an asking price on the player.
The news may come as a shocker to the United fans, who were relieved until now that their academy graduate is going nowhere. However, United are apparently preparing for a life without Marcus Rashford as they expect offers for the 25-year-old to flood in next summer. But it is not going to be easy for interested parties to scoop in for the England international, as the Daily Star claims that the Red Devils have slapped a hefty £115 million price tag on the striker.

United could lose Marcus Rashford amidst contract uncertainties
According to the Daily Star, it is Marcus Rashford’s stalling contract extension which has prompted United to price tag the striker. It would definitely paralyze Ten Hag’s rebuilding at Old Trafford if all United are to lose Marcus Rashford in the summer, but a fee in the excess of £100m as mentioned by the Daily Star may help them replace their man aptly.
If the Red Devils are forced to sell the 25-year-old at the end of the season, they will expect a big price as claimed by The Daily Star. The United star has been on fire this season keeping the club’s charge alive across all competitions. Rashford had been written-off last season having accumulated a mere 5 goals, with a move away from Old Trafford being close to reality last summer.
However, that hasn’t gone anywhere as still the elites are chasing the 51-cap Three Lions’ star. It is being reported that Real Madrid are considering Rashford for a summer move as the Los Blancos believe that the United No. 10 is a more realistic option than Kylian Mbappe or Erling Haaland at the moment. The reigning Champions League winners are searching for a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema, and feel they have all the resources and the money to meet United’s £115m asking price.

Meanwhile, the talk of Rashford leaving United has been brewing since the striker is yet to agree a contract extension at the club. Although the club exercised a one-year extension option to keep him from becoming a free agent in June of this year, that leaves Rashford with only 16 months left on his current contract. The Daily Star adds if the striker does not agree to a new contract, he will be a target for a number of clubs across Europe alongside Real Madrid.
The likes of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are also rumoured to be interested in the forward, with the Parisians more fiercely pursuing a deal after it was reported that they had held initial talks with his representatives in the summer. It is further revealed that Marcus Rashford was valued close to £80 million by United during the World Cup in Qatar. Even though the forward’s current £200,000-per-week contract only has a year and a half left on it, the club now estimates that the player is worth £115 million having notched a staggering 16 goals in 17 games since the global tournament.
