This all had happened when Prithvi Shaw had left for dinner at a five-star hotel in Santacruz when the unidentified suspect showed up and insisted on taking a selfie. Shaw took two selfie requests and complied with them, but the same group afterward requested a selfie with the other defendant.
This time, Shaw declined, stating that he had come to eat with friends and didn’t want to be bothered. According to the complaint, Prithvi’s friend complained about them to the hotel manager after they insisted.

The manager asked the accused to leave the hotel. When Shaw and his friend left the hotel after eating, some people were waiting outside with baseball bats since this occurrence had incensed them.
The accused used baseball bats to damage the front and rear windows of the BMW that belonged to Prithvi’s friend.
