Professional wrestling legend and two times WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair who is also a former 16 times World champion as recognised by WWE recently talked about the trilogy of matches between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes and praised “The Architect” for his excellent work in these matches.
Cody Rhodes made a surprise return to WWE at WrestleMania 38. Seth Rollins was scheduled to have a mystery opponent the Grandest Stage of them all. The mystery opponent turned out to be the returning star Cody Rhodes and the duo showcased one of the best matches of the entire show.
Ric Flair Praises Seth Rollins For Matches With Cody Rhodes
The feud continued for the next two months as the duo wrestled in two more matches in the two following pay per view events. In all these occasions, Cody came out victorious. However, just before their last match that took place at the Hell in a Cell pay per view event inside Hell in a Cell, Cody picked up an injury which sidelined him from action for quite a long time.
The Hell in a Cell match between the duo gained massive praise from the world of professional wrestling. In fact it was elected as match of the year for 2022. The match got most praise because of Cody’s unbelievable performance even with a big injury.
A lot of fans also believe that Sheamus vs Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship from Clash at the Castle pay per view event should have been the match of the year. This was also an amazing match but what Cody managed to do with a big injury was really praiseworthy. And it turned out to be the best match of the year as per fans vote.
But it is quite unfortunate that people are only talking about the performance of Cody and Seth Rollins is being overlooked even after such amazing performances. This trilogy is arguably his best performance in his WWE career so far. We hope to see him performing on the main event level once again soon.

“I give Seth all the credit in the world, it was great. And you know, if a guy wants, it doesn’t hurt Seth. It makes Cody, and the great ones are gonna get beat every day and still be great. That’s my take on it, and losing a fall here or there then they give it back to them, and I thought it was a great match. I thought both matches they had were good…”
