WWE SmackDown star and a former WWE World Champion Kofi Kingston who is also a former 14 times WWE Tag Team Champion recently talked about former WWE Raw Women’s champion Rhea Ripley and claimed that she would win the WWE Intercontinental Championship in 2023.
Rhea Ripley is currently one of the biggest names of the women’s roster of WWE. The Australian professional wrestler had been pretty famous from the very first day of joining WWE. She was a famous back in the NXT, she is also pretty famous on the main roster.
Kofi Kingston Thinks Rhea Ripley Can Win Intercontinental Title In Future
Upon making her main roster debut in 2021, she went on to challenge Asuka for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37 and she defeated the Japanese professional wrestler to win her first major main roster title. It was a pretty big achievement as the stage was also the grandest of them all.
But after getting involved in a fluid with Charlotte Flair, her main event push fading away. She completed lost the feud to Charlotte Flair and it was looking like she might not get pushed once again. WWE was getting criticized by the fans for their obsession with “The Queen.”
But Rhea Ripley managed to reinvent herself in WWE last year when she became a member of the Judgement Day faction and once again she became a huge attraction for the fans. She is definitely going to win more championships in the near future after her massive success recently.
If she wins the Intercontinental Championship, this would definitely be a huge achievement. The last and the only women ever to win the Intercontinental championship was Chyna and that was also back in 1999. Ripley can very much repeat the history as she has all the potential.
But in the PG world of WWE, it would be very difficult to have a fair match with any man and Rhea. Right now we are living in a world where men and women are claimed to be equal but only women can hit men, and men cannot do the opposite. So Rhea winning the IC title would be pretty difficult in this PG product of WWE.
Kofi Kingston who is also a former 14 times WWE Tag Team Champion recently spoke on WWE’s Youtube Channel where he predicted that Rhea would win the WWE Intercontinental Championship in 2023. He said;
“I’m gonna put Rhea [Ripley] in the mix and the most surprising thing that will happen this year is that Rhea will win the Intercontinental Championship or the United States Championship.”
