Team India is all set to take Australia in the third test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy and India will look to confirm their berth in the ICC world test championship with a win over Australia in Indore, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma shed his thoughts on the world championship in June.

Rohit Sharma admitted that they already plan how to go about things in the world championship and said that Shardul Thakur will be an important player for India in England’s conditions, in the absence of Hardik Pandya he is seen as fast bowling all-rounder for India, and performed well for India in the limited opportunity and Rohit jokingly said that she is unsure how far he is ready as he got married yesterday

“There is a possibility of that. We have already spoken about it. We need to get the guys ready for it as well. The important one is Shardul Thakur because he comes into the plans for us. I don’t know how ready he is, knowing that he just got married yesterday. How many overs he has bowled? If we get the result that we want, we might think of doing something different in Ahmedabad.”

Rohit Sharma attended Shardul Thakur in Mumbai, before coming to the third test in Indore and also continued that is a great achievement by the team who is on the verge of making its second consecutive World Test Championship, where Indian remarkable well in home and overseas conditions

“It will be a great achievement. (In) the cycle after the last World Test Championship (WTC), the way we have played in certain conditions has been remarkable. Yes, these are our home conditions, but these are some challenging conditions that we are playing in. It is not easy for batters to come out and keep scoring runs consistently.”

India reached the inaugural WTC final in 2021 but went down to New Zealand by eight wickets. Thakur is not part of the Test squad for the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He has been named to the team for the one-day series against Australia.

Shardul Thakur Will Play For Kolkata Knight Riders In IPL 2023.

Ahead of the IPL 2023 auction, KKR traded in Shardul Thakur from the Delhi Capitals and sent Aman Hakim Khan the other way. He was acquired by Delhi Capitals during the IPL Mega Auction earlier this year for INR 10.75 crore in IPL 2022.

In IPL 2022, Thakur had a poor outing, the former DC man scalped 15 wickets in 14 matches at an economy rate of 9.79 and managed only 120 runs. Shardul Thakur will look to make come back in IPL 2023 with Kolkata Knight Riders under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer. On April 1, Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings will square off in Mohali in the IPL 2023 season opener.
