WWE Legend and WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella who is a former two times WWE Divas Champion recently expressed her disappointment for getting a lot of hate even after never turning her back on pro wrestling.
Nikki Bella started her professional wrestling career back in 2007 along with her twin sister Brie Bella at the Florida Championship Wrestling which was the Development Territory of WWE back in that time. Both of them got promoted on to the main roster in only one year time.
Nikki Bella Expresses Her Disappointment For Getting Hate Even After Never Turning Back On Wrestling
At first it was Brie Bella who made her main roster debut as a solo star. In only a number of months time they started working together every team at first. But soon Nikki turned heel and they had a feud with each other. The first feud between the Bella Twins is not much remembered by the WWE fans anymore.
The Bella Twins became quite famous among the female wrestling fans about their professional wrestling career but they failed to attract the hardcore professional wrestling fans back in that time. In 2012 both of them got released from WWE and they went to the independent circuit.
In only one year time they made their return to WWE once again and this was the first time they started to get some recognition from the WWE fans. Once again they were working as a tag team. This time they were much more improved and fans were liking them more than they attracted them on their previous run.
The most important angle between the duo came in between 2014. It was the SummerSlam pay per view event of the mentioned year. Brie Bella Stephanie Mcmahon in a one on one match. Nikki between her own sister in this match leading Stephanie Mcmahon to a victory.
This is the second time the sisters feuded each other but this one is mostly remembered by the fans. This heel turn of Nikki also mark the beginning of her individual success. She became the longest reigning Divas champion in WWE history. In 2018, both of them retired from Professional wrestling. WWE inducted them into the Hall Of Fame in class of 2020.
Nikki Bella who is a former two times WWE Divas Champion recently spoke on her Bellas podcast where she expressed her disappointment for getting a lot of hate even after never turning her back on pro wrestling. She said;
I’ve never turned my back on the wrestling industry. The more success I’ve had, I’ve always tried to bring more awareness to women’s wrestling, and empower more women, what can my success do for others?
“There are a lot of people that see that, and write articles about that too, which I’m so appreciative of the people that stick up for you [Brie] and I, and have written amazing articles about us and showcase that is truly incredible.
“That small group, it’s a really distinct demo, and it is mind-blowing. I also think, the people that do hate, they are the ones that are afraid to not go with the flow. They’re afraid that trolls are going to turn on them. There is a bandwagon of Bella hate.”
