Finn Balor Remembers His Royal Rumble 2018 Performance
The men’s Royal Rumble match was won by Shinsuke Nakamura who went on to challenge AJ Styles for the WWE championship at WrestleMania 34. It definitely was a dream match but unfortunately it could not fulfil its expectations. Finn Balor was a participant of this match who entered as the entry number 2.
He survived in this match for nearly 1 hour and registered for eliminations by his name. He was one of the final four participants of the match and ultimately he was eliminated by John Cena. After this excellent performance, It looked like he might be elevated to a main event level in the near future.

But that never happened. Instead he was always stuck as a mid card wrestler. Even though he won a number of titles including the likes of Intercontinental Championship and the WWE United States Championship. Currently he is working as the leader of the Judgement Day faction where he registered some big victories by his name. But unfortunately he is status could not change enough in WWE.
Finn Balor who is also a former two times WWE Intercontinental Champion recently spoke to Rob Armstrong of BTSports’ What Went Down where he looked back at the historic event of Royal Rumble 2018 and talked about his excellent performance in the men’s Royal Rumble match of the mentioned year. He said;

“It was fine. I remember thinking I could go for a little longer. It definitely felt like something was achieved that night. Some nights, you go out there and you just do your job, and it’s A,B,C, D, and then you’re down.
“With that, there was a lot of kind of working on the fly or just having to improvise a lot and really be in the moment and enjoy it. I really did, and I would love another shot at maybe cracking the one-hour mark in the Rumble.
“I was a little bit disappointed, actually, that I got 57 minutes, 58 seconds or something like that. I had no idea, but when I came back, someone told me and [said], ‘Oh, good job, you almost landed an hour.’ I was like, ‘Almost? It felt like a little bit longer than that.”
