This week’s SmackDown started as the Bloodline came out to the arena. Jey Uso was not with the Bloodline tonight. It was weird not to see him alongside Roman Reigns, but the storyline is getting pretty interesting day by day. After taking their long usual entrance, they entered the ring.
When Roman Reigns was about to say something, Cody Rhodes interfered. He already announced on RAW that he would be on Smackdown this week. He entered the ring and asked Roman Reigns to talk to him alone, man to man. Roman asked the rest of the Bloodline to leave. They listened to Roman and left. Cody talked about his past, how he spent his life in wrestling. He then mentioned spending career in a “little indie show” which he clearly indicated towards AEW.

He said Roman Reigns might be impossible for others but not for him. Roman reminded him that he was nothing but mid card throughout his life before. Neither hever held any of the World titles, nor he featured on any WrestleMania main event. But Roman has done it all.
Roman then talked about Dusty Rhodes and how he spent times with the American Dream. He said that we talk about a lot of things but he never talk about Cody, as if he never existed. He said things that his father did not teach him, Roman would. Cody said if he did not existed, then he would exist after he be team at WrestleMania 39. Then hi shook his hand and said may the better man win.
Match 1 – Rhea Ripley defeated Liv Morgan
So Liv Morgan is the Chad Gable of the women’s division right now. Extremely talented, but nothing but an object to put over other talents. In this match, Liv was completely dominated by Rhea Ripley. It was a submission victory at the end. You are bound to feel bad for Liv after this match.
After the match, a little girl was seen in the crowd who was crying badly for her Idol Liv. It was heart breaking. Liv is being idolised by little girls and this is what WWE had to offer to them. One more thing, it was a clean win. Rhea did not need Dominik to do the dirty works for her.
Backstage the Bloodline was seen in their locker room discussing about Jey Uso. Roman Reigns looked frustrated, he said that he was running out of patience. Jimmy said that he would let him know, and he left the room. This storyline is getting exciting but on the same time, it is getting a little slow with time.
Backstage on Smackdown Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio were seen walking. Santos Escobar confronted them and talked to Dominik about what he did to Rey Mysterio last week. He said that Rey might not have teach him a lesson but he could, and he challenged him in a match. So Santos Escobar turned babyface just by confronting Rey Mysterio?
Match 2 – Dominik Mysterio defeated Santos Escobar
This match was booked for five minutes and it was an average match. For the most part of the match Santos Escobar dominated, but at the end, Escobar was pulled out of the ring by Rhea and she nailed him with the Riptide. The referee failed to notice it since Dominik kept him busy. Dominik then pinned him with the Frog Splash.
After the match, Dominik grabbed the mask that Rey Mysterio gave to Escobar and teared it up. Rey Mysterio came out and asked Dominik to hand over the mask. Once again Dominik provoked his father to hit him. At the end, Dominik hit another cheap shot to his father and grounded him.
