Backstage on Smackdown Gunther and Imperium were seen confronting Adam Pearce where Gunther asked about the situation on who would he going to face at WrestleMania 39 for the title. Pearce announced a one on one match between Drew McIntyre and Sheamus next week where the winner would face him for the Intercontinental championship at WrestleMania 39.
Match 4 – Charlotte Flair defeated Shotzi
WWE SmackDown 10.03.2023 Results & Ratings Part 2
This match was booked for five and half minutes and it was an average match. It was nothing but a filler but still it did a good job. Shotzi never looked is from competitor in front of Charlotte Flair. At the end of the match, Charlotte made Shotzi submit with the Figure 8 Submission Maneuver.
After the match, Rhea Ripley confronted Charlotte Flair. Finally it was good to see their real height comparison as Charlotte was not on her 99 inches long heel. Rhea claimed to take the title away from Charlotte and Charlotte said that Rhea might have been proud of her improvement but it was nothing compared to her standards.
The Usos came out to the arena. Jey Uso answered the question that everybody was asking, why he betrayed Sami Zayn. Jey say it that he had no other choice left. Jimmy was his own blood, his twin brother. He could not go against him. So he just had to go against Sami. At the end he said that Sami was a selfish man.
Next they started to talk about Cody Rhodes. Before they would say anything about him, Cody Rhodes came out and said that if they had anything to say about him, they should say it on his face. The Usos threatened him that if he say anything he might have to regret that they would do the same thing to him they did to Sami Zayn.
Sami Zayn appeared and attacked Jey Uso. As Jimmy attacked Sami, Cody Rhodes entered the ring and joined the fight with Sami. The fight continued in the crowd and then it returned to the ring. Sami and Cody looked stronger as they put the Usos out of the ring. Sami and Cody stood strong inside the ring as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Overall it was an average week of Smackdown with no promotion for the world championship match at WrestleMania 39 yet again. Roman Reigns should be ashamed of him as a champion now. There is only 3 weeks away from the biggest show of the Year, and the champion is doing absolutely nothing to promote the main event. Not only Roman Reigns but WWE should be ashamed of themselves to give the title to someone like Roman Reigns for such a long time.
About the rest of the show, it was flat out boring and predictable. Yes, there were definitely some good matches, but nothing that would make you stand on your feet. The Intercontinental championship picture was the already reported before. Not enough involvement of of the women’s division either. Apart from the Sami Zayn – Bloodline saga, there was almost nothing to see. We give this week’s Smackdown 1.5 out of 5.
