Next up on RAW, WWE Hall of Famer Edge appeared on the big screen. He talked about his upcoming Hell in a Cell match against the former WWE Universal champion Finn Balor. He intimidated Balor about the match and reminded his history where he wrestled against some of the biggest legends inside Hell in a Cell.

Rhea Ripley came out to the arena next. She talked about her upcoming match with Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 39. The promo was pretty good. She threatened Charlotte that after WrestleMania 39 she would not respect her but fear her.

Damage CTRL interfered her and reminded every one that she defeated Charlotte Flair on her first WrestleMania so if Rhea needed any tip from her she was ready to give her. Rhea said that she did not need anything from them. Bayley threatened her that she would love to teach her lesson if she disrespect her.

Match 4 – Rhea Ripley defeated Bayley

This match was booked for little less than 8 minutes and it was a great match. Rhea was the babyface in this match who was clean and Damage CTRL was doing all the dirty works for Bayley. At the end of the match, Becky Lynch, Lita, and Trish Stratus came out and Damage CTRL. Bayley got distracted Rhea took the advantage of the situation and pinned her with the Riptide.

Match 5 – Ricochet defeated Chad Gable

This match was booked for nearly six minutes and it was a pretty entertaining match. At the end of the match when Chad was getting into the driving seat, Maxxine Dupri came out and took Otis with him and Chad Gable got distracted. Ricochet pinned him with The Shooting Star Press.

Match 6 – Asuka and Bianca Belair defeated Piper Niven and Chelsea Green

This was the short three and a half minute long back and it was mostly booked to create a bad blood between Asuka and Bianca. Overall it was one of the weakest build ups for this year’s WrestleMania, so it needed some kick which this match somehow was able to deliver.

During the match, Bianca and Asuka showed lack of chemistry as Tag Team partners and ultimately they fought each other. Bianca pinned Piper Niven clean after so many distractions and difficulties, of course, Bianca is the mother of God, she could do anything. It was completely unnecessary though. After the match, Asuka attacked Bianca and beat her down.

The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns came out to the arena. Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman accompanied him. As Roman Reigns entered the arena and addressed the home crowd, Cody Rhodes interrupted him. Roman Reigns accused him for leaving WWE and later join AEW.

It was a great opportunity to slam Roman Reigns for being a lazy man throughout all of his feuds. When his opponents did all they could to promote their feuds, Roman just sits in his home, doing absolutely nothing. He is doing the same thing during this feud as well. We really expected that Cody would say these things in return.

But no, Cody said all those same boring things that had been used to keep on going feuds alive from ages. He will beat him at WrestleMania 39, he will take his title away, and all. We can bet biased WWE critics will call it one of the best segments of the year, but there was nothing special about it. It was the same old thing. Cody Rhodes stood tall inside the ring and Roman Reigns left with Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman as this week’s RAW went off air.

Overall it was just another average week of Monday Night RAW. It did a good job to promote WrestleMania 39, and that was what it was, just a promotion for WrestleMania 39 and nothing else. There were no excellent match ups, nothing that would get you off of your feet.

The first segment of the night was pretty good, and for us, the last segment was pretty disappointing. When there was a huge opportunity to slam Roman Reigns, they booked an old fashioned boring promo. With could not say if there was anything special about tonight’s RAW. We give this week’s RAW 1.5 out of 5.
