This week’s SmackDown started as the WWE Undisputed Tag Team champions The Usos came out to arena. This was the final SmackDown before WrestleMania 39. As soon as the Usos started talking about their upcoming match at WrestleMania 39 they were interrupted by Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
They entered the ring and Kevin Owens said that before tomorrow’s big match, he had something to get off of his chest. He reminded them that they helped him a lot after he came to WWE. They hanged out with his son, played with him, they made it so easy for him until they started working for Roman Reigns. And how they tried to end his career at Royal Rumble.
WWE Smackdown 31.03.2023 Results & Ratings Part 1
Jimmy Uso said that they actually was pretty friendly with him at the beginning but right now they have no love lost for him. They were not his brothers but Jey, Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa were. Sami Zayn added that family did not come from Blood but from loyalty. Jey added that the words of loyalty did not suit in Sami’s mouth.
Sami said that he had been loyal to all of them from day one but it was then who chose blood over loyalty. You reminded that Roman Reigns never had been loyal to them, specially to Jey Uso. He promised him that at WrestleMania 39 they would take their Tag Team titles away from them.
Jey concluded that at WrestleMania 39 they would definitely retain their Tag Team titles and Kevin Owens would backstab him again. And they would keep dominating the Tag Team division. At the end he said that this years WrestleMania will be officially addressed as the BloodlineMania.
Match 1 – Fatal 4 Way Match – Ricochet defeated Chad Gable, Eric, and Montez Ford
This match was booked for around seven minutes and it was a really entertaining match. Needless to say this match was booked to promote the fatal 4 way tag team match at WrestleMania 39. At the end of the match, Montez Ford hit a Frog Splash on Chad Gable, but before he could summon himself back, Ricochet quickly pinned Chad Gable with a 450 Splash.
Match 2 – Bobby Lashley won this year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal – For the last 2 years, this Battle Royal is being booked on SmackDown and every time it opened the night.
