This year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal arguably the best Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal ever. The star power in this year’s match was really massive. It also shown the darker side that WWE failed to manage most of their big names for WrestleMania 39. Of course it was a predictable match on Smackdown, but the rise of Bronson Reed through this match was really incredible.
Match 3 – Fatal 4 Way Match – Raquel Rodriguez defeated Sonya Deville, Shotzi, and Shayna Baszler

This was the women’s fatal 4 way match to promote the women’s fatal 4 way tag team match for WrestleMania 39. This was all way weaker than the men’s match and it did not even got a booking of three minutes. Raquel Rodriguez and easy victory after she pinned Sonya Deville.
Backstage Legado Del Fantasma met Rey Mysterio and told him that they would have his back at WrestleMania 39 like they always did. And they wanted him to teach Dominik Mysterio a lesson. Rey said that they were going to do it in a different way this time and they gave them some T-shirts. Those T shirts revealed to be LWO T-shirts. That would be amazing if they bring back the Latino World Order.
Match 4 – Drew McIntyre and Sheamus defeated Imperium
For the final promotion of the Intercontinental championship picture, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus teamed up to take on Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vince. It was a short but physical match and it had been entertaining. Drew and Sheamus picked up the obvious will after Sheamus pinned Vince with The Brogue Kick.
Cody Rhodes came out to the arena for the last segment of the night. He stood inside the ring for the last and final promotion for the main event of WrestleMania 39. His final monologues was pretty good, just like this always, where we promise to the fans to take the WWE Undisputed Universal Heavyweight Championship away from Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39.
Roman Reigns interrupted him and he took his usual 99 minutes long entrance. The only thing he said on the mic was, “Cody Rhodes, acknowledge me!” And that’s it. That was the promotion Roman Reigns did for the main event of WrestleMania 39. Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes stood face to face as this week’s SmackDown went off air.
Overall it was a pretty good episode of Smackdown and they did everything they could to to promote the final SmackDown before WrestleMania 39. People might argue that there well not enough action or promotion for the event but you have to understand that they must keep their wrestlers fit before the grandest stage of them all.
There were a lot of pre taped footages as expected, and that is obvious since this is the final episode of Smackdown before WrestleMania 39. We are not going to criticize WWE for it. Some of the matches only remained on pre taped promotions well there could be at least some in ring promos.
This year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal was really good. It was not very long but it is arguably the best Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal ever. Lashley was a predictable winner but Bronson Reed’s promotion was really good. The star power in this match was really fascinating.
The final segment was pretty average, once again it was all Cody Rhodes for the promotion. Roman Reigns did not even stand in the ring for two minutes. We hope to have an excellent WrestleMania 39 event and also we believe we are going to have one of the best main events in WrestleMania history. We give this week’s Smackdown 2. 5 out of 5.
