Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson hailed England white-ball skipper Jos Buttler for bringing positive energy to the team and the world cup winning captain played exceptionally well on Sunday, against Sunrisers Hyderabad providing a blistering knock of 54 runs in just 22 balls.
Jos Buttler has been a standout performer for Rajasthan Royals in 2022, and he continued his fine form in IPL by scoring a terrific half-century before being dismissed by Fazalhaq Farooqi on the final over of the power-play.
“His presence brings a lot of positive energy to the team,” Sanju Samson on Jos Buttler.

Sanju Samson asserted that Jos Butler’s form and experience rub onto the shoulders of youngsters citing the example of Yashasvi Jaiswal, who played a vital inning against Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Indian wicket-keeper further went on to add that Jos Buttler is a fun-loving person, who likes to inspire the youngsters around him.
“You can see the way Yashasvi Jaiswal is batting this season. It has to rub on to the youngsters, and his role, like everyone’s, is equally important. He looks a little bit of a serious kind of a guy but he has a lot of fun on the inside, in the dressing room as well as in the team bus. He likes to talk to people and people are learning a lot from him,” Sanju Samson said.
Rajasthan Royals had a brilliant start to their season, as they secured a massive win over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening game as they were dominant with both bat and ball, as Jos Buttler, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Sanju Samson were fantastic with bat and with the ball, Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal went through the batting lineup of inexperienced Hyderabad side.

Sanju Samson reckons the youngsters in the side are pumped to contribute to the team’s success, as they had a terrific domestic season for their team, and lauded Yashasvi Jaiswal for his fantastic batting in the opening game.

“A lot of youngsters in our team, such as Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, and Dhruv Jurel are pumped up because they have had a really strong domestic season. You can make that out from the way Yashasvi Jaiswal batted today. He has had a good start and he is going to have a great season,” Sanju Samson added.
Rajasthan Royals will take on Punjab Kings in their second match in Barsapara, Guwahati on their first home game on April 5.
